Off camping today, took the 7 and got stuck in traffic around Tunbridge Wells, car didn't seem to get too hot, dial showed 90ish then it just died. Electrics seemed fine, turned over ok just wouldn't fire. Had a look but couldn't see anything obvious then it started again. Drove for another few miles and it just died again. It's a 1.8k, throttle bodies and emerald. Any ideas what could be up? Karl

Oxted trimming can definitely do it, I had an email exchange with them fairly recently about the same thing. Their rough estimate was: Material £ 43.00 + VAT Labour £ 90.00 + VAT Total £133.00 + VAT Karl

Not sure what happened to my badge, all the colour has come off. It was the yellow 16 valve one, if anyone has a spare I can buy please let me know. Caterham have been out of stock for ages and so far I've not been able to Cheers, Karl.

We've been in Newlyn for a week - without the Caterham but the kids played spot the 7 on the way down and had given up so were pleased to see one today!

Orange FN03 something spotted in a carpark somewhere in Wimborne by the mother in-law this morning. Apparently it had a shop sign lent up against it?!

Red and gold car spotted heading towards Godstone around 1330 today - I was in the yellow one going the other way...

I haven't made the mod and have exactly the same problem. I know that's not of much help to you but I have tried bleeding several times and replacing the expansion tank cap. Short journeys at relatively low revs seem fine, any spirited runs for any length of time and the car gets hot, the expansion tank fills and I get air in the rad. Hydrocarbon test was negative so it's a bit confusing. I am tempted to try and change the head gasket myself as the next thing to try but don't have any cam timing gauges and it scares me I'll keep a eye on this thread to see if there are any other ideas! THxx CAT with full weather gear on spotted just outside of Chobham around 1550 this afternoon. Also saw someone with a Caterham Motorsport jacket on inside Reading stadium whilst waiting for my wife to finish the half marathon. Not strictly a spot but I don't see many of those jackets when out and about

There's a possibility I'll be in Redditch on the 23rd March, if it will fit in the boot of a Golf I can bring it back to Beckenham if that's of any use to a prospective buyer for collection or onward delivery. Karl
