  1. Oh err, that seems OK - I'll try it again without editing it this time. '98S 1.8K SuperSport Edited by - JonathanP on 9 Nov 2003 21:38:57

  6. Ho hum, spent most of the day trying to remove my rear wing. Who invented *thumbdown*rivnuts ? Ended up removing seat, internal trim etc but its still not off Giving up now, going to have a beer and watch TG in a little while. Lets see if I can at least get the signature working and off 'novice' rating... Jonathan Edited by - JonathanP on 9 Nov 2003 21:39:26
  7. OK, so I'm beginning to realise there's no such thing as "I'll just go and ...." Need to remove my offside rear wing after some kind person trashed it in a car park and then scarpered. But 2 of the rivnuts have started spinning - one is behind the small rear internal trim panel, so I have drilled all the rivets out and exposed that one. The other is right at the bottom behind the big panel, which I'd rather not remove unless I have to. So a couple of problems: - whats the best way to get the bolt out of the rivnut I've exposed? Tried gripping it with some pliers but to no avail. - If I give up the bottom fixing for a while, should I drill off the bolt head, or has anybody got any better ideas? The wings not too badly damaged and I have a friendly boat repairer who can repair it for much less than a new one, so I'd like to get it off without further damage if possible. Thanks, Jonathan Edited by - JonathanP on 9 Nov 2003 18:34:46
  8. You'd also need to take photos of the ones either side as well... some idiot in a 4x4 broke my rear wing in a car park on saturday and left without trace before I got back Edited by - JonathanP on 5 Nov 2003 22:09:57
  9. Putting the hood up is easy - its getting in afterwards that beats me
  10. Speaking to my neighbour last night who was in the museum, after the Arrows had finished and we left, the was another display. Note quite as fast or noisy as the jets - a chap in a microlight with a load of geese flying in formation behind him! Apparently they took off just after the rain stopped and put on a good display!
  11. Only if he fits tiny weeny wipers as well 😬
  12. Thanks every one for making me feel welcome, and especially to Alex and hoopy for taking me out for a spin - brilliant (tried driving home in the tin top with the windows open, but its just not the same *smile*). Sent off my membership form for the owners club today - just need to find a car now! Jonathan
