I purchased a set of the Avo dampers that Len was selling around 10 years ago. Driving round the Sussex roads with poor surfaces the car can be quite uncomfortable at times. Would it be worth going for softer springs and if so what rates would you recomend? Regards, John

I replaced the cambelt and pulleys about 300 miles ago but have noticed that the tensioner marker moves back and forth about 5 mm when the engine is running. Is this due to the resistance of the cams when opening the valves? John

Composite aeroscreen with 3 mirrors. A few years old with some odd small marks. Narrow body car. £125 plus postage. Located near Heathfield TN19 (the marks are not visible further than 150mm away if that!) Regards, John

Looking to give bodywork some tlc as the car is nearly 20 years old. Has anyone robbed the panels down with wet and dry before polishing it? What would be the best grades to work with? Regards, John

I have some Compomotive wheels on another project car with a few small chils in the paint. I have done a search for the Compomotive colour code but have drawn a blank. Any ideas on paint sticks? Would oy be worth trying a wheel refurbisher? I do not need the whole wheel doing just a few square centimetres Regards, John

Ian, if you could / we could get this to Dartford (my sister in law will hold on to it for us to collect). no rush as our daughter is just 4 next week. My temp gauge reading has slowly died over the last few weeks and I suspect the sender unit. Does anyone have the part number for the sender that sits in the plastic thermostat housing at the back of the engine? I am assuming that the gauges are fairly robust Regards, John.

I have a 1997 chassis with the straight tubes. I have a 2l blacktop zetec inside. You will need to remove the front pulley and the angle will be steep when you put the engine and box in but it will go. tape the top tube to protect it. There are only a few mm in it. Regards John
