  1. I may be too slow, but I also have one left over from a quick release upgrade. Will send you a pic.
  2. A club member who also owns a 2CV has a 1.2 Mb PDF of a Rover 214 / 414 service manual available on his website that might be helpful.
  3. OP, please don't change from using the four point harnesses. It's a bit Look At Me! Me! Me! but please take a look at this thread from last year when I had a single vehicle shunt on the M40 in the rain with my 13 year old son in the passenger seat. I still do not recall the lead-up to the accident, or the 7 to 9 days afterwards. Most of our injuries were to our legs and (in my case) pelvis and chest. However, I also separated some of the muscle groups in my left shoulder. Both my son and I also had the classic shoulder strap bruises across both shoulders. The Warwickshire PC who spoke with my wife whilst I was in hospital was of the opinion that such was the suddenness of our shunt, it was only the four point harnesses that stopped us being ejected from the car. The amount of strain that must have gone through my right shoulder to separate some of the muscle groups would seem to support his view. I think it highly likely that I would have left the vehicle if I had been using a three point seat belt. If I were the boss at Caterham the first thing I would do would be to remove the anchorage points for inertia seat belts and to refuse to sell anything other than four point harnesses as a minimum.
  4. Alan, Am sending you an email
  5. Signor Nuvolari As others have written, it is indeed a doddle - even I managed it, re-using the existing sump gasket.
  6. Thread on here from March re Caged contact number.
  7. All sales to date have now been posted
  8. Phil, Shower cap is yours, but the HT leads have already been nabbed. Tim, Tom has provisionally agreed to take the wheels. If he passes then someone else has already taken first reserve, but will note your interest.
  9. Hopefully that is everyone who has stated they wish to purchase items responded to with postage costs as detailed on the Royal Mail website. Barry, YHM re your query the wheels and tyres. Valid question, so have updated the description accordingly. I now have to go and wash my wife's kitchen scales.....
  10. Sorry Stu. I have received your mail, along with many others. Am just working through them in reverse / Miss World order. I will respond shortly.
  11. Looks like the boot bag goes to "Lightnin' Fingers Forshaw", then Sim, drop me a blatmail with your name and postal address in order to progress your purchase. Tom, as the original post states, "I live in Droitwich Spa, just north of Worcester". If you want the wheels and tyres then if you pay for them I would be happy to store them for a month if you want to try and arrange a GONADS run. Following my 7-killing accident I am still not particularly mobile and so don't want to get involved in too much mucking about. Ben - noted
  12. Following the demise of my se7en - and the associated three line whip from The Powers That Be that I will never have another one - I am having a clearout. All items were purchased for use on an EU2 K engined series 3 fitted with an Imperial single diagonal FIA bar. All items are exclusive of postage costs. I live in Droitwich Spa, just north of Worcester and within easy reach of junctions 5 or 6 of the M5. Tyre rack: £100 Purchased from a club member who was part of the original bulk buy (and who then moved on to a trailer for his track day antics), this is an item I have never used. The rack is in pristine condition. RH sidescreen - New: £100 Another "purchased but not fitted", this is £140 from Caterham. I have never unwrapped the item, but will do so if requested. Image of label to confirm part number. Pair of wind deflectors: £30 Used but in fair condition, with some small scratches and one small chip. These are £80 new from Caterham. Set of four used blue fuel injectors: £25 Purchased from a club member in March 2013 but (you guessed it) never fitted to my car. Have number 0280 156 024 on them. Unopened 1L of Castrol B373 diff oil: £5 Purchased for the LSD I never got to fit....there's a pattern here, isn't there? As a consequence of my inexpert attempt at chasing down a misfire (eventually found to be an intermittent fault in the throttle position sensor sub-loom) I have a few sparky bits: Used SLD100080 throttle potentiometer: £45 As shown here, these are £96 and show as out of stock at Caterham. Used crank position sensor: £15 As shown here. Used in-tank fuel pump: £30 As shown here. Was removed and swapped for a new unit a couple of years ago when I inciorrectly suspected that fuel problems were causing my misfire. Has number 6443327 on side. Emerald ECU: £450 I bought the unit via ebay in November 2008 and sent it back to Emerald for check-over and upgrade to K3 spec (from M3KD) in January 2009. It has languished in the darkness of my garage since then. The ebay purchase was £510 and the upgrade £70. I see that Emerald now charge £180 for the K3 upgrade! Front Connector Unit will be supplied with the Emerald recommended serial to USB adapter and link cable. Retro Ford are selling these units at just under £700. Sold to Sim Oxted boot bag: £80 Complete with removable carrying handle and built-in steel anti-theft chain, which allows you to padlock the bag to the roll bar - or anything else that takes your fancy. Image. Here is an ebay link to a new sale as I do not have an image of the bag on my car. Sold to StuB 4 x 13" anthracite minilites with as-new Yokohama A021R tyres in 70 profile: £300 Silver KN minilites were purchased from a club member and then powder coated. Wheels without tyres and with the tyres fitted. All four wheels are marked as KN 6J x 13. The tyres are Yokohama A021R in 185/70R13, with a speed rating of 86 and a weight rating of H. Please note that the yellow rim is merely a sticker, which can be removed if the new owner prefers. The tyres are in "as new" condition with the production bobbles" present on all four wheels. The wheels and tyres only have a very quick run around the block on them in order to check that the wheels were straight and that the tyres were properly mounted. They then went back in the garage, pending me altering my bike speedo config to run off a magnet on the brake disk, rather than adding a magnet to the wheels (as was the case with my original set of wheels) - another job I never got round to doing! Sold to TomB Unused clutch cable: £15 - item on left of pic. These are £26 from Caterham. Sold to _Benedict_ Unused throttle cable: £25 - item on right of pic. These are £57 and show as out of stock at Caterham. Sold to bosshog Used clutch cable: £5 Purchased as an emergency spare but never used, this item does have some cosmetic surface rust on the threads. Sold to bosshog New and unused HT leads and distributor cap: £10 As shown here and here. Sold to 3rd time lucky? Used tonneau: £20 As fitted to my car, which I believe had poppers in the standard places. Sold to AdamQ Mintex MDB1287 rear brake pads: £5 For use as standard rears. Sold to AdamQ Shower cap: £25 The material and stitching of the shower cap itself is of good quality. However, I could never get it to fit properly on my standard S3 and all four of the elastic fasteners broke at one point or another. My wife has extended the front two loops so that they properly fit over the bonnet catches, whilst the two rear fasteners are two elastic loops, used to loop over the ends of my cut off spare tyre carrier. To secure this hood on a car with a complete spare carrier - or indeed a clean rear end - then you will need to attach hooks to the two rear elastic loops. It doesn't take a great picture when you haven't got a car to stick it on. Sold to Cookie Monster Used JZX2963 throttle potentiometer: £25 As shown here and here. Sold to Regin 7 Grille: £25 Item is in good condition. These are £43 from Caterham. Sold to Arno Hood bag: £25 Item is in good condition. Sold to Born2Run New and unfitted tonneau and fastener pack: £100 Yet another "purchased but not fitted" item, this is £138 from Caterham. Supplied with unopened fastener pack. Sold to Tazio! Unopened 5L of Comma G30 coolant concentrate: £15 As on left. Sold to Tazio! Unopened 5L of Comma 5W-50 oil: £15 As on right. Sold to Tazio! Edited by - jingars on 25 May 2014 19:47:34
