I have found Toyo's surprisingly good in the wet when I had a day at Prescott hill climb but they do need warming up as when they are cold there is not a lot of grip. Mature enthusiast Black with Silver stripe 1.8K super sport. Missing my seven.

The pressure drop was within 2-3 minutes of starting and it dropped to the red line, I read that these foam baffles are supposed to be replaced every 12,000 miles so mine is well overdue, my car has done 29,000 now. Alan Mature enthusiast Black with Silver stripe 1.8K super sport.

Having read all the threads about sump foam it could be that I have just changed the oil and maybe the new oil was not compatible with the foam or it could be coinsidence. Either way the sumps coming off, a new gasket with the holes drilled in it will be fitted but no foam. Alan Mature enthusiast Black with Silver stripe 1.8K super sport.

Fitted the new sensor today, great service from Caterham sales again, started the engine and saw an immediate rise in the oil pressure, so took it down the road for a quick check and then after a while the pressure dropped again. This foam thing that Myles mentioned I pressume is the foam fitted in the sump, could this be the problem where it is breaking up and causing blockages? Probably on your way to Chepstow for the start of the Fish and Chip run lucky sod, I had just turned round in Welsh Newton as my oil pressure gauge was in the red. Got home Ok though and now awaiting parts. Mature enthusiast Black with Silver stripe 1.8K super sport.

As previously mentioned in Chit Chat my oil pressure suddenly went down today, the engine is running fine and I can see oil up in the can cover so is it the gauge or the sender? Do I need to change both and see if they are faulty (one at a time of course) or could it be the pump, the car has done 29,000 road miles 1.8 K series 140bhp. 🤔 Mature enthusiast Black with Silver stripe 1.8K super sport.
