    K Series parts

I'm after the following (new/excellent condition). Just seeing if I can get them second hand before going straight to Caterham:- Fuel Hose Fan switch (87/92º I think) to fit the standard Caterham radiator Temp sender for Caterham water temp gauge Sump gasket for K series wet sump Foam baffle for K series Windcreen nuts, bolts and screws: Screws (6 needed) 4 of these needed in black Thanks, Oli
  2. Would the PRRT have any foreseeable issues on a track/race car?
  3. That's also a possibility. There are two sensors I think - one for the gauge and one for the ecu? Which one is for the gauge? Might be worth me trying changing that before I drop the coolant and doing a thermostat change.
  4. Car is a standard Roadsport A 1600 K series. In the current ambient conditions of 0º to 4ºC on a medium to hard run on the road the oil temp never goes above 30/40º and the water temp is similar. I took advice that in really cold weather to block off part of the radiator so i put a piece of card half covering the nose cone grill. Took it for a drive and low and behold the oil will reach 70 to 100º depending on how hard the driving is. The water will head northwards of 100º and when the fan kicks in the indicated water temp on the Caterham gauge is about 110º. The fan drops it to an indicated 100º or thereabouts before cutting out. My questions are: It seems I might not actually have a stat fitted? Being an ex race car what are the chances that it has had the stat removed? It might be the reason that it doesn't warm up (when I don't have card over the nose)? Is my fan switch coming on at too high a temperature? A lot of what I've read has mentioned that people like to have temps holding around 80º but at the moment I'm all over the place depending on what I do.
  5. Any comments? I only ask because from searching on here and other forums I use, no-one seems to have mentioned Gulf engine oil before so I feel like I'm being a bit of a Maverick! The Motul and Gulf are both ester oils so I imagine the performance will be very similar. I'm not one for being dragged in to heavy conversation about oil as it's probably as case that if you use any good quality branded oil and keep the grade to one of 5w40, 10w40, 5w50, 10w50, 0w40 or in the case of Minister engines 15w50 then you can't really go wrong.
  6. Opie have what seems a good deal on Gulf competition oil. Gulf Oil Link I currently have Motul 300v 10w40 fully synthetic race oil in my 1600k Roadsport A. Any reason why I shouldnt switch to the Gulf seeing as at the current price it is a shed load cheaper than the £30 per 2 litres that the Motul is? Thanks, Oli
  7. Battery sorted. Still needing a windscreen.
  8. I have a 2003 Roadsport A. I'm in need of the following:- Battery, preferably as new to replace my worn out one. As per the Banner one https://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4262 Brake pads (Mintex 1144) again as new prefered to suit the standard Roadsport A/academy calipers (front and/or rear). Windscreen (or windscreen glass as I have a bare frame). If full screen ideally I'd like black framed. Thanks, Oliver
