Hi Richard,how long have you had a caterham?I bought my current car in Feb but have had a striker previous which Ive still got,im currently having an R1 engine installed.Are there many cars in our area,I sold and engine to a member in Cardiff,he had an s4.My car was originally built by a guy from Caerphilly. Hi,Ive got a vx that does the same,the first time was scary as I thought the engine was going pop.Mines the same in the fact that when oil is added the noise stops.I was speaking to a friend that competes in a vx powered mini in autograss and he tells me that there is a simple mod which cures the problem.Im going to see him tommorrow and get a definitive "what to do" list from him and then post it so we can all be put out of our misery. jeremy
