  2. I bought SWMBO a new iPod Touch 8Gb for Christmas. She got as far as un-boxing it on the day but never used it as she ended-up going for an iPhone when they became available in January on Vodafone. I'd forgotten I still had it till now! So, for sale is an unused in mint condition iPod Touch 8Gb (current generation) purchased at a Comet store on 18/12/2009. The earphones have never been un-packaged/used. I'll send you the receipt too, of course. They're £152 new. £100 incl Royal Mail Special Delivery postage to UK address. My Flickr Gallery here Edited by - jason liddell on 24 Mar 2010 11:17:35
  3. Many thanks for all your feedback, folks. Sorry you never had any joy Adrian ☹️ I successfully t-eed off RPM pulse & throttle voltage today without affecting tacho or ECU (assumption based on engine still operating normally post install) It's just worked - which is pleasing My Flickr Gallery here
  4. Thanks for that Gareth. I'll give them a call if I experience the same My Flickr Gallery here
  5. Oh ☹️ Which model of DL1 was it (Mk I or 2)? How did you connect and what was the non-worky symptom? Did it affect with your tacho reading - or just see no data in the DL1? (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  6. Not sure where I read on here that there was a second signal cable now... but I think I've answered my own question, and will just have to tap into the feed into back of tacho. ...unless someone else has a magic answer 😬 Thanks for your reply RJ (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  7. Hmmm, but that WB (white/black) wire is the same WB wire that connects to the rev counter on non-Stack'd cars. The wire into the back of my rev counter is WB. Looking at schematics: that is the output from Pin-55 ECU Plug 2 via Pin-5 of the grey Vehicle Loom to ECU connector... so if I understand correctly, that's not a duplicate but the same wire. 8. Apols if this answer already lies in the archives - I've searched but not found a definitive answer. I'm planning on interfacing my EU3 K-series RPM signal to my DL1 datalogger. I've read that the black/white wire into the back of the rev counter carries the RPM signal and have identified this on my car. So, I could t-off this easily enough, but... ...I'm sure I've read that there is a second, spare wire carrying the same feed that is only used if shift lights or Stack dash fitted (I have neither). Looking under the dash (a feat in itself!) I can't identify such a wire. Where might I find this spare wire and what colours might it be? Or, no pun intended, have I got my wires crossed? 9. David - do you have a pic? Have you removed the washer nozzle and routed the cable through that hole? Just got my DL1 (thanks again Chris ) and have been considering best antenna location. Obviously the 'best' location would be on top of the rollbar but this isn't exactly discrete! Done some static position quality tests (for other 'feasible' locations) and anywhere else introduces multi-path and masking issues. I'll prob stick with rollbar unless someone can show they've had good data with a more discrete location. (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  10. If it's just the pads need bedding... Just sluice the pads/callipers with lots of tap water and then ride up the street repeatedly braking hard. Sluice again and repeat the process until he pads are well-bedded (should only take 3 or 4 goes if bedding is your problem). (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  11. Got Jason to kindly post on my behalf as I've lost my posting rights without saying cheerio. Just wanted to thank everyone I've met in person and online, and got to know because of the sheds. I've made some great friends, what a fantastic bunch of peeps! So, it would've been rude not to go without saying goodbye It's been emotional 🥰 Rossybee (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  12. Keep 2 of them, put them on old wheels, pump them up to 50psi, fit them to the rear axle.... ....and go autotesting (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  13. Have an assistant (heavier the better) stand on top of the ball joint * ...should provide enough friction in the taper to undo the nyloc nut * one foot directly on top of the joint, no weight/bending stress on your wishbones. (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  14. Sure. Blatmail me your email addy. Thought the dims proved not too helpful TBH - they seemed to contradict wheat Caterham dartford told me on the phone. Just for yourself when you have a look at the instructions. It'll be next week now... off for a long weekend blat tomorrow Alternatively, I'm sure you can find the Build Manual PDF online still somewhere... (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  15. Just spoken to the horse's mouth, AKA Caterham Dartford. All the fittings are intended to be into chassis tubes for obvious reasons. So, I'll have to measure/feel/drill carefully I guess! (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  16. Re-reading the build manual and studying pics of an un-skinned chassis, it would appear the given dims are intended to centre on chassis tubes... Studying pics of other (factory built - hence poppers in same place in theory) cars suggests this to be the case. Has nobody else fitted these tonneau poppers to body themselves? (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  17. The existing poppers in the centre of the scuttle (the ones the aero pops onto) appear to be through the tube... The scuttle hoop tube is round section? And the side tubes (that the 2 sideskin ones potentially go into) are square section, yes? Hmmm. I'm a bit unsure of wielding the drill just yet (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  18. Just got myself a Tillet-pocketed tonneau and fasteners etc from Caterham for fitting to my Superlight I now have a question that I can't find answer to in the archives... I need to fit 3 new fasteners to the body (car having never had a tonneau before) - these being one on the scuttle, one on the sideskin just below the scuttle, and one on the sideskin just below the top-rear of the sill. The build manaul PDF I have gives precise dimensions for where to drill/fit these (Sect 14, Pg 5). So my question: are these given dims/locations intended to ensure the rivets go into chassis tubes (for increased strength), or to avoid chassis tubes? 19. My 2001 Superlight came to me (2nd owner) with MB R500 Mags fitted with CR500s - all as originally supplied/fitted by Caterham when the car was factory built. Wheels were 6.5" front, 8.5" rear. The orig spec sheet described the option as: W&T-13" Magnesium Wheels-Avon CR500 Radials-SLR (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  20. Fare-thee-well, oh Snot-ness ☹️ (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  21. They're yours, Nick Thanks to everyone for looking. (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  22. My set of 4 Mike Barnby R500 Mags (incl wheel nuts/washers) are for sale... 2 - 6.5x13" and 2 - 8.5x13". Standard offsets, Ford fitment, etc - just as originally supplied by Caterham. Mike crack-tested and refurbished these in Feb this year, and they have not been used since. Pics here. £700 I'm nr Edinburgh - prefer buyer collect, so appreciate may have to mutually arrange courier (I have boxes Mike sent them back to me in)... or GONAD them... (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
  23. I bought a couple of these hook wrenches (may have bought Britool, maybe a different size range, can't remember - lots available). They work well, and the same ones work on my replacement - smaller dia - AVO damber platforms too (Mainly ) Scottish Motorsport/Trackday Pics Here.
