When I had trial fitted my rear lights in the position that was identical on each wing they looked wrong when a number of people looked at them. One seemed higher than the other, despite the measurements being spot on. I actually had to move one to a position which was different to what my measuring was telling me. Might be worth outlining where they should be using the two wings side by side method and then trial fixing them when you have the wings attached before drilling any holes.
i recently fitted a new rear panel and rear wings.
The original wings had a cut out for the Radius arms so I did the same. I found the hardest part was fitting the rear light blocks so they looked the same height. Oddly, when I measured both sides to ensure the light blocks were the same height from the ground they looked wrong. I eventually fitted them with a couple of people looking at them from various distances behind the car.
Hi,
Currently using 185/13 tyres and wondered what the recommended tyre pressure is for road driving. I was using 18psi but now dropped to 16psi - has anyone used less than 16psi?
Thanks!
The battery is going flat - happened last week and then twice today at the Dunsfold track day.
I measured the voltage across the battery terminals using a multimeter whilst it was ticking over and it measured 11.21 at best. Over a period of 5 minutes it fell down to 11.04 until the fan came on and then went down to 9.65. When the fan went off it went back up to 10.65 and stayed around that figure for about 5 minutes.
I put a new battery on it about a year ago and it is kept on a CTEK trickle charger all of the time.
Do you think it could be the alternator? If so, does anyone have any experience of replacing the alternator on a Fireblade? What is the cost and how difficult?
Thanks.
Robin
