I'm in Canterbury so a bit of a trek. The jets are not expensive so I think I'll risk buying a set of 45s. Should these be F9s as older posts have referred to ?

She's running rich. Plenty of power but a bit fluffy. Had 108 bhp at wheels when built. Carbs have : 33 chokes F16 emulsions 130 mains 165 airs 50 F8 idles I'm thinking about changing the idles to 45 F9s as I've seen several references to these in posts. Could anyone advise if this is likely to help ?

Would anyone near Canterbury have one I might borrow, or advise where to buy one. I had use of a super german one ( ball bearing in a glass tube ) but sadly no longer. Thanks

That's weird! After I posted, by way of a last throw of the dice, I took the plugs out (again) turned the engine over a few times then put some new plugs in. It started first try and ran perfectly, as with you cskip. I dont understand this as it had been running perfectly on the old plugs before I started fiddling.Pehaps it was flooded? I'll get it hot then try the old plugs and see what happens.

Help ! I've just changed the fuel hoses and cleaned the inside of the distributer cap. Car (1700 with lucas electronic ignition) wont start. there is spark at the plugs,fuel to the carbs, the plugs are wet after fruitless cranking and the battery is turning it all over fine.It feels as though the timing is out (it coughed a bit through the carbs ) but I can't think what I could have disturbed. Any suggestions please ?

This was a recent MOT advisory on my '92 Sprint. Questions ; i) Is it worth trying to adjust this or should I order a track rod kit from CC ? ii)Do I need to remove the rack ? (looks like it to drill out the locking pin ) iii)If so I might attempt to upgrade the top wishbone arangement to the later type - could anyone advise what bits are required and if this should be attempted by a semi-skilled bodger ? thanks

I would like to touch in some scratches on my '92 car which is this (rare I think) colour. It must be original as the wings are in gel coat. Anyone know what the colour is and where I might get a touch up pen ? thanks

Doh ! Just remembered - previous switch "fail" was for the rear foglamp. Getting old is a bummer...

Thanks all.Passed the MOT with no comment about the hazards switch. I think I had a fail for this some years ago as I found the cheapo temporary illuminated switch I used to get around this at the bottom of a tool box (not a caterham).

Hi Should the hazard warning switch on my '92 car be constantantly illuminated when the lights are on ? Will it fail the test (8.30 a.m. tomorrow !!! ) because it's not ? thanks

A funny thing happened in the garage... I pushed the ( Ital axled ) 7 backwards to get at something and after a few feet it locked. I jacked up all corners and just the two rear wheels were siezed.The handbrake cables were loose and the diff.is quiet(ish). I started up and drove away and it seems to have freed. Anyone got any ideas ? thanks in anticip.

The black nylon lining is coming away from the elbow bulges. Does anyone know a simple fix or is this one for a professional ? thanks in anticipation

Thanks for the advice all. The reason for my query is that the dealer who sold me the car advised that the points gap could be adjusted to act as a crude form of rev limiter.I guess from your comments that there are no points...

I bought a car with leather S type seats but they have cloth headrests.Does anyone have a pair of leather ones to sell or swop? Whilst posting does anyone have or know where I could source alloy wheel centre caps, push in from the rear type, c. 58mm dia.(Ital axle) ? thanks alcal

Does anyone know what type of nipple should go into the rear u. j. in my '92 4 speed Xflow and where I might get one?(mine has sheared off) Also one of the yellow plastic cooling fan blades is awol.Are new units obtainable? many thanks
