  1. Not an expert but I have had this problem before. Failing the above, could the sensor (on the water rail) be broken? If you turn on the ignition you will probably get a slight flicker of movement from the instrument needles. If the temp gauge doesn’t move at all, it could be the sensor is faulty. Screw out the old and in with the new, being careful not to burn yourself with hot coolant!
  2. Could I have one of the How to Drive Oulton Park DVD’s please. Thanks James
  3. How about the half hood and a shower cap for when you’re parked?

    V12BRO

I believe that this is a Sigma engined Roadsport, belonging to a hire company based in York. Was it been driven like a hire car?
  7. Saw a black Dino in the car park at Harewood Hillclimb yesterday. The weather was wet and I was quite surprised to see it out. A very pretty car.
  8. Absolutely, many thanks for organising it Geoff, has been a super day . Thanks to the instructors who were great and helped me to build my confidence and skill level on this, my first track day. Thanks also to all you fellow members for your patience with a novice blue 7 . Great to meet so many of you, I hope to see you on future events soon. James
  9. Hi Geoff, Yes, sorry for the delay in replying. That's great thanks I've posted you the forms and cheque today so they should be with you shortly. James
  10. Geoff, YHBM - a place for me please. Thanks, James

  12. Spotted outside the car garage, just north of the bridge! Has been lovely weather for a 7 today. Unfortunately I was passing in the tin top but am just about to head out in the 7 Edited by - James7 on 23 Mar 2011 16:37:27
  13. So how long do we give it before Aston Martin-ised Toyota IQs are roaming the streets, having been given a diy make over by people with dubious taste?
  14. Quoting Petrolhead: Quoting michaeljclark: Quite suprised that CC hasn't got in on the act with some LED blocks (other than the "clear" ones) its one of the areas that does let the 7 down in it's "default" guise.I have asked CC midland this question several time and I get the same reply, somit to do with E marking So I assume the SVC ones you use are the LED ones The SVC website says that their LED rear light clusters are E marked though.
  15. How about fitting some of these LED rear light units? They have a flat back but SVC also do a version with a sloping housing in ‘Carbon Effect’. I feel the fake carbon mount looks a little tacky though. If one of the carbon producers could be persuaded to manufacture a quality mounting for these lights, that could be really interesting!

    Petty strut

Is the petty strut for FIA bars with a single diagonal the same for long cockpit live axel and de dion cars? There is one for sale near to me, advised to be ‘40" long and I believe it fits the long cockpit LA chasis’. Would it fit my 2004 ex academy car with single diagonal FIA, using the hole by the front of the passenger cill from the original full cage mounting? Cheers James
  17. I’ll pass then thanks. The Caterham website suggests different part numbers. Cheers James
  18. Thanks Tony, I'll take the Minators. I could collect one night next week if we can sort something mutually convenient. Cheers James
  19. I'd be interested in the clutch cable. Just to confirm that this is from a k series car? James
  20. I’d be interested in the set of 6 x 13 Minators. Assume these are silver in colour and the tyres are in reasonable condition too? Have they got much tread left? Where abouts in South Yorks are you? James
  21. A Transit based Luton van or similar should be ok based on this. Also see this thread. James Edited by - James7 on 23 Jan 2011 22:43:28
  22. Ebay auction ends 4pm tomorrow afternoon. James
  23. My brother in law is selling his Ford Puma, a one owner car with FSH. Would make a good cheap runabout. The car is located in Halifax, West Yorkshire. For sale as they bought my tintop a few months back when I got a company lease car and they no longer need two cars. Ebay bids to start at £550!
