  1. I know what you mean. But it is a method that mechanics use and works. Even John at Redline told me that way of doing it.
  2. Give the upright a sharp bash with a hammer at the point where ball joint is. It works for me & Ed on Wheeler Dealers uses this method.
  3. Nigel As far as I'm aware it is a paint code known only to Caterham or TSK who spray their cars. Not something you will pick up at Hafrords or any where else. I have a touch up pot Tony from TSK gave me when I had a rear panel sprayed. My car is officially MClaren orange but I believe it's same as Aztec. Just differant name. Your welcome to borrow it if it's for a bit of touching in you want to do. Gary

  7. Easy enough job changing the filter. All done.
  8. Thanks. I have filter off now. It's marked Unipart GFF 7119. But have also noted above pt number. Thanks Both numbers being ESR 4065 & GFF 7119 work fine to give you the right filter.
  9. Can the filter be obtained from local motor factor? Pt number? If you have that hose ref handy Ian i'm sure it will be useful. Cheers
  10. Good thought SM25T. The car is nearly 13 years old now & rubber does'nt last forever. I had to replace fuel hose on my old car after splits occured.
  11. Guess I should change mine then at just over 30,000 miles. While it's off the ground.
  12. How often to change the fuel filter? Time or mileage? or can it be fushed through..
  13. Mod still didn't compleatly cure mine. I still get the 'click' on occasion. I should add that I have taken my starter apart & cleaned the contacts. I have still had the click at least once after doing that.

  16. Or James Whiting who rebuilt the one he owns.
  17. Same as Mcalvert. Valveline 20/50 racing oil was what my engine builder recommended.
  18. Marshal driving his red & alley series 2 Lotus Seven in Santa Monica. Nice to speak to a fellow 7 driver of the California section while I'm on holiday.
  19. Mark, The 1600E was always 4 door. My dads one was Gold.
  20. My dad had the 1600E as company car in 1969. I bought a second hand Diamond white 1600E in 1979 with the Webasto sun roof. Great car..
