  1. What you need is a nice new lens to photograph the traps in action A snip at £3500 or should I say a Snap 😬

  4. Ahh! I think your right aeroscreens. My mistake.
  5. Hi Jaffa7. The tyres are date stamped on one side of the tyre. If you find the profile markings ie 175/55/13 you should find the date stamped as a 4 digit number relating to month & year ie 0410 is April 2010. On my tyres it is directly under the 55 bit of the profile so guess should be same on all CR500's.
  6. Thanks SM25T but I have sorted one now.

    Wet Sump

Looking for a wet sump for a K series. Mine is almost done in. No finns left & cracked. It will probably only take one more grounding to finnish it. Anyone gone to a dry sump system & have one of these in good nick lurking in the corner of their garage.

  14. I took the advice given here & fitted the Gates Cam belt & tensioner. Good to go now. Thanks all Gary
  15. Gates belt & manual tensioner all ordered & ready for collection this afternoon. Lovely Jubbly. 😬 Thanks every one.
  16. Thanks Oily. I think I will order the Gates belt. I did also think of changing the pump. But think due to the low mileage it should be fine.
  17. Thanks Oily & every one else for your valued comments. Just one last thing. I know Oily, that your advice is to use a Gates cam belt. The guy that will do mine is a mechanic for Rover & is intending to get the parts from there, all original Rover. Can I take it that will be fine or is the Gates version that much better.
  18. Martin. I still have the sump foam in. But it has been changed at some point in its life, just not since I have had the car. Batteredolsupersport. I just thought it might be a good idea to change the tensioner while its apart. I will check it out first though.
  19. Does any one know if the tensioner on the SLR is self adjust type or not.
  20. Yes, be quick...It's not a messy as you might think, but do lay plenty on old cloths down first. I also primed the new AP unit with brake fluid first, pumping the piston till it came from the connection holes. Did the swap as quick as poss & didn't even have to bleed the brakes after.
