  1. Thanks for all your response so far guys !! Well it was the cars 2nd service done at c/midland,and it was only a few weeks before they closed ....the service was very poor tbh. The disks and pads are the originals. When I had the car back first time there was very bad steering vibration at speeds of 70+just when driving no braking ....they had it back in and the balanced wheels. Im sure this problem was not there before they had it in !! The weights are ok on the wheels now. It dose look like they may of changed the brake fluid on this type of service Hope this helps someone shine a light on my problem please ?
  2. Could anyone help me with my problem of steering vibration under braking ? The car is an r300d with the original tyres and plenty of tread left on the fronts with 4000 miles on the clock. It seemed to all start after the car went to c Midlands for a service last year ....the car came back with wheels incorrectly balanced ,car returned and rebalance better but not right then took it to another garage finally got the wheels balanced correctly !!! But now I'm getting vibration when braking ??? what could this be ?and how to fix it ? Many thanks David

  7. Hi all, I'm selling a classic additions fitted indoor car cover, it's for a S3 body. I ordered one a while back and when it came it was not as fitted as I had hoped a little baggy in places so they agreed to make another one if I left the car with them as a temple for there future covers. It fits the car correctly just not a super tight fit,its in a medium grey colour with brg pipping and in a storage bag Its new never been used Retail price are £250 Im looking for £175 + postage if not collected Can email pictures to anyone who is interested Many thanks David 07779191960 in the Midlands
  8. I've just had Dave ppg out to do my nose and sides ,he has done a really good job Fully recommend getting him out.
  9. Ok I've booked Dave at PPG to come out to do the nose upper and lower ,L/R sides 200mm and the area where the bonnet looks like it well rub on nose. But Dave wants me to remove the front badge ,what is the best and safest way with out damaging the paint please ?? Any warnings to be aware of ? Thanks David
  10. Looking to get the most from my new car and thinking of doing one or more or the following Cadence day Drift day Track training day Or just a track day (best first one? ) From experience what should I do to help get better cornering speeds and contoling drifts ? On or off the road ? Is there much left this year ? Thanks again
  11. What is the safest way to clean the plastic side windows as have washed the car wiped with clean chamis ,now gone to polish them with glass cleaner and a new lint free cloth ,but stopped when I saw a few scratches Don't know if they were on there before I started or from clean chamis or rubbing of cloth Advice please as i do not want to get lots of light marks on then this early on thanks
  12. Ok I had my rear arches done before I collected my new car and thought that would the worse place for stone chips ! But have only done 300 miles and have a couple of little chips down the one side (have I been going too fast on these first few miles :D ) Anyway thinking of getting the sides done and uper and lower nose now ,spoke to Dave at PPG and he said people have 200mm high sides done and nose just past the badge , Could I get some feed back from you guys on what you have had done and on what's best to get done ? Has anyone here had the full sides done so you don't see a line half way up the sides ,is there any where else you would get done that marks over time ? Thanks David
  13. While we are on this subject what about values/after sales of getting the car serviced at main dealers Caterham or at a lotus specialist garage ? As cc midland in a fair drive for me and I have a lotus garage called Paul Marty sports cars near me who restore cars and maintain all sorts or lotus cars
  14. Thanks for all your advice ,went for rear arches in the end ,but it's gone wrong !! ,Had a call to say the armafend has rippled on the out side edges when putting it on and they have found a crack in the inside of one of the arches ,so they need to get a new arch and paint it and re do the armafend. How hard is the armafend to get off ?,is the a chance anything will get damaged like paint ? Will the new painted arch match up ok ? Has anyone had experience with this before ?
  15. Well if all goes well I should get my long awaited R300 this weekend :)Its going to caterham midland tomorrow ,now I'm having armafoil put on rear arches as recommended ,but do I get anywhere else done ? Do not really want to much done if not needed as prefer the just paint look on its own. Any advice would be great !! Thanks David
