  1. RJ I just don't want to get any grief from the powers that be on here but who knows, maybe one day. 😬 A slowly increasing number of photos here plus a shameless link to my company as I cannot do it from Blatchat
  2. Thanks for the offer to rebuild the car Peter but I actually want to use it before Christmas 2005. 😬 Still it would mean I can't change the car in 4 months again. I was out this morning in the sun and had a really good run out. See you all soon. Duncan
  3. I picked up the new 7 today and noticed that the oil pressure seems to be somewhat higher than my old one whilst it's being driven. The old one didn't have the anti cav tank and the new one does. Is this likely to have any effect? 4. Although it's not such a big problem for 7'ers if you get pulled for the small plate the BiB can then take a greater interest in other aspects of the car so if there is anything dubious you can get picked up for that as well. It's usually bikers that get pulled over with illegal plates because in the words of a constable who pulled a mate of mine over "you bikers only put small plates on so you can bugger off without your plate getting taken" The most annoying thing when your plate falls off is if it takes the fixing screws as well cos then it looks like you never had a plate on in the first place. 5. I could be about to buy 4 wheels and tyres provided I can arrange to get them back from near Oulton Park to Sussex. There has been an offer to bring them back from Curborough if I can arrange to get them there. Can anybody help? Sorry in my rush I forgot to add that financial considerations would be made for the service along with a donation to NTL. 6. What's the harvest "Water cress" 🤔 😬 Sorry to hear of the situation for farming everywhere. I hope things turn around for you. A slowly increasing number of photos here plus a shameless link to my company as I cannot do it from Blatchat
  7. I think the general concensus of opinion is that ZV1's will last longer than the 7. A slowly increasing number of photos here plus a shameless link to my company as I cannot do it from Blatchat
  8. You will get a more experienced answer in a minute no doubt but I have Yoko 032's on my 7. It is a 1.6KSS and they are great in the dry whilst you have to be a bit careful in the wet. I have not driven on 21's and some people like them. It will come down to how you want to drive in the wet, how often and your own personal preference. 9. Looking at a 7 with ACB10's on it. The thing is I do most of my driving on the road at the moment and as anyone who has been on this planet for a few days will be aware the roads are not always dry. I have been told that the ACB10's are fantastic when it's dry but if it's wet then park up and wait for it all to dry out. How true is this? Would I be better off getting a set of spare wheels with Yoko 21's or 32's on if I go for this car? 10. In partial answer to two of your questions. I have heard a few people say that the larger wheels tend to follow cambers quite a bit. Some of this can be changed by changing tyres although I can't say I know to what. I have 14 inch rims on my 1.6SS and have found that the tyre pressures can make a big difference as to how the car reacts to bumps in the road. Depending on tyre condition this can affect this too although I have no experience in a 7 I know I have had other cars suffer as the tyres get to the end of their useful life. Someone will probably be along to correct me on all points in a minute but the above is my humble opinion. Sorry I should have added welcome to 7 ownership. I haven't had mine long but I already wish I'd started years ago. You'll love it. 11. Do you need to have an FIA bar to be able to take part in track days, etc? More for future reference as my current 7 has one but I am considering a change. A slowly increasing number of photos here plus a shameless link to my company as I cannot do it on here

    Sunshine

This sounds to me like a 'Last of the Summer Whine' common amongst all 7'ers I believe. Hope you manage to find it. A slowly increasing number of photos here plus a shameless link to my company as I cannot do it on here

Blockhead, after your comment all we need now is someone called Richard to put a suitable comment up and we can have a Clever Dick too. 😬 A slowly increasing number of photos here plus a shameless link to my company as I cannot do it on here
  14. Are you sure that glop2000 doesn't have a lot full of red and alloy 1989 7's judging by the number they have been trying to sell.

OK so I can't compete with batteredoldsupersport there. Not that I am in a position to comment on them personally never having met them but I have never been told that there can only be one of me in the world. I have recently found out my position is even stronger than that Nifty. I have been repeatedly told that I am a nobody in some peoples eyes. I originally took this a quite an insult until I remembered what me old mum used to tell me. I have nothing so if you want to see if you can get something for it you are welcome. I would even pay a 10% commission on anything you get for it. A slowly increasing number of photos here plus a shameless link to my company as I cannot do it on here
  18. Thanks for the heads up bongomania but we have the normal sized 7 so without playing about your screen won't fit. A slowly increasing number of photos here plus a shameless link to my company as I cannot do it on here
  19. OK so SWMBO and I are out today and she says "Ilike those little screens that some 7's have got" so now it looks like I have to find an aeroscreen. Because of the colour of our 7, yellow with BRG stripe we reckon that getting one and painting it to match the car would look better than a plain black screen. Does anybody know where I can get a screen in a material other than carbon as it seems a bit of a waste to lay out that much and then paint it? 20. As Grubbster says the tyre pressures should be done when cold. Just about everyone on here uses different tyre pressures so it could be worth playing about with them if yuo don't like the feel of the car. I tried 18 on A032's which was recommended but I now run 19 all round. It made a huge difference to the car IMHO. Someone will probably say it shouldn't have made any in a minute but it felt like it to me. A slowly increasing number of photos here plus a shameless link to my company as I cannot do it on here

  23. Yes I know that I would probably have more joy finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow but I thought I would ask before going elsewhere.
  24. Do I take it from here that even just getting the Verniers will be suitable for my 97 1.6K SS without having to spend a fortune?
  25. someone at work is selling a 106 graduate. Mileage 75k on an M reg. The car has a sunroof, radio/tape player. He wants about £950 for it but I guess he might be open to offers if anyone wants more info drop me a line and I can give yuo his details.
