  1. Well spotted sir! just off to North Weald sprint
  2. James, I have a set from my Supersport that have done only 2k miles mail me if interested? Dave
  3. Mark, if it will swing the deal I'm more than happy for you to have a blast in mine Dave
  4. Hi Mark, my version was the Supersport with the 140bhp Sigma lump so a big increase in power and torque which I hope to put to good effect in a few events this year. Dave
  5. I can only agree with the above sentiments having upgraded to the F200 it is like chalk and cheese and can't wait for the dryer weather to give it a proper blast
  6. Will, I have a full set of Adjustable ride height Bilstein units from my Supersport which have only done just over 2k miles, not looking for fortunes BM me if interested? Dave
  7. If it's of interest I have a spare mounting kit which allows the use of Racetech mirrors on existing windscreen pillar screws
  8. Hi Roger, the fixings through the roll hoop are bolts with nylock nuts which come as a kit from Caterham or use any suitable alternative, with regard to the bottom of the strut it fixes into a tapped bush on the chassis which needs to be exposed by drilling out the rivets on the side panel to give you a fix for the pilot hole. There are instructions in the build manual which give a bit of a guide. Any problems mail me and I can get a picture off to you. Dave
  9. Hi Andy, I recently had my Supersport upgraded to the Premier Power F200 and I have to say it is awesome! Stuart Creswell did a brilliant professional job and it transforms the car into 420R performance levels without the weight of the Duratec. Give him a call, he will be happy to talk you thrugh the options Dave
  10. Louis, I leave mine on all the time but I can confirm the electrolyte levels do need topping up occasionally so just keep an eye on it Dave
  11. I'd love to see you "raving" in your "heel and tie" Chris!!!
  12. I think I would be tempted to throw on a couple of twin 40s and have done!!
  13. My only addition to the above is buy yourself the best helmet you can afford, after all how much do you value your head? Above all, enjoy the day
  14. MXS 5.0 has worked well on mine and keeps the battery tip top over the cold winter months
  15. Hi BigCol, I have also changed to Nitrons but only driven back from PGM on a mainly damp motorway so not much comparison yet. The only reason I changed was that I can adjust the stiffness for competition. Hopefully we can both offer an upgrade service for the roadsport boys/girls
  16. Full set of adjustable Bilstein spring/shock absorber units from my 2012 Supersport (wide track) which have covered only 2300 miles from new. Part numbers 74501AW and 74502AR. A hint of oil on O/S front so make me an offer? These units retail at £264.60 each from the factory. No reasonable offer refused, great to upgrade Roadsport etc. Dave
  17. Hi James, if you're looking for a dryer weather tyre which is same profile then the Toyo R888R would be the answer, however, a couple of points are I think 8" wide on the front would be the reason for tramlining so I think I would be looking at 6" front 8" rear running 185 and 205 Avon ZZS which is the later development of the CR500 and much better in wet conditions. Lots to consider, best of luck!!
  18. Just take your time, don't rush it and enjoy the challenge. Anything you get stuck on just put onto blat chat and you,ll get the answer. I agree with all of the above especially checking all the parts are there! I was lucky I worked 5 mins from the Dartford factory so could pop in on way to work to pick up the missing parts! Good luck and enjoy
  19. It'll be the engine upgrade next then Alan????
  20. Spot on choice with 13" wheels, I run 6" and 8" with CR500 on road and have spare set with R888R for competition use. The advantage of course is if you upgrade to even more power the boots are sorted!!
  21. I would go for the lower setting, it covers off all usage and I doubt if you would even notice the difference in ride.
  22. Callum, in my build I used big heads bonded onto carbon cycle wings with carbon tape which is belt and braces then simply attach wings with tie wraps, job done plus much neater than bolts through the top!
  23. CycleSi, I would think that the Avon ZZS would suit your circumstance over the R888R purely on the fact that they have more tread pattern which should give you better wet grip. Thanks for the update on the soft compound R888R which is interesting as it was indicated that Toyo have already produced some sizes in soft already so I will await until late this year before I decide which list 1B tyres I purchase for next season!!
  24. Good point from Thompster which bears out what the guy from Avon said in the recent Low Flying article that the ZZS tyre is an all round improvement on the CR500 with better technology. For myself, I am waiting to see if Toyo are going to import the soft compound version of the R888R which has been promised but not yet arrived. Demon Tweeks suggested to me last week that this now may not happen until next season unless anyone knows different? Dave
  25. Hi Mark, I bought them as A24 tread pattern soft compound they are invoiced as follows; 185/55R13 AVON ZZR A24 13982M 79H 215/55R13 AVON ZZR A24 13983M 88H The only mark on side wall is 1815 if that helps?
