  1. A very nice Ibanez Jet King 2 guitar, JTK-2. I have owned it since new and it has had very little play time. It has always been kept at home, and the last 5 years in a case in a cupboard. It has upgraded Grover self locking machine heads. I’d like £150 for it. I’m based in Hatch End (HA5) north west London.
  2. Ed, Please let me know what dates you need, in addition to 29th June?
  3. That's a great idea Ed. I'll let you know in due course.
  4. I have a full set of the Autosport weekly magazines for calendar years 1967 and 1968 (argh! - one missing from the 1968 lot!). Free to anyone who wants them. Obviously my preference would be collection from Hatch End, North West London, (HA5) but we can discuss posting them if you pay the postage. Please send me a message if interested.
  5. OT: I was just catching up on this thread whilst listening to iTunes when Chris Rea's track 'Auberge' came on - about one minute into the track, Mr Rea has a similar problem starting his Seven - it made me chuckle. Good luck with getting it sorted Piers.
  6. I had a VTEC version in 1990, it was the best car I've drive, (apart, obviously, from the Seven) it just loved to rev! I was very sad to see it go, as it was a company car and I moved jobs. It was the reason I went for the FireBlade engined Caterham. Probably tough to find good loved one these days - apart from your cousin's one.
  7. Jon, very sorry for delay in replying, I haven't looked at BlatChat for a few days. Yes the Mini book is available. Blast mail me with your address. best regards Andrew
  8. Argh! I should have anticipated this - I've signed in this morning to see BlatMails asking for books from people who haven't posted above and of course they want the same books. I shall try to sort this out fairly based on when people posted and when BlatMails were sent. I'll mail people sometime today. If you are interested in the remaining books, please post above first, and then BlatMail me.
  9. Sure thing Geoff. Email me and we can sort it during this week.
  10. TomB, sure thing, send me a mail and we can sort it during the week. Hunt Vs. Laura - yes, Mills & Boon :-))
  11. Following on from my post on ChitChat I am listing here the titles of motoring books that I'd like to move on: Tales from the Toolbox. Michael Oliver. £5 + p. Bernie. Susan Watkins. £5 + p. So-Cal Speed Shop. Mark Christensen. £5 + p. Formula 1 Technology. Peter Wright. £5 + p. The Power and the Glory. Ivan Rendall. £5 + p. Monaco Grand Prix. Michael Hewett. £5 + p. The Glory of Goodwood. Spiritual Home of British Motor Sport. £5 + p. Mini Cooper, the real thing. John Tipler. £5 + p. Mini, Restoration, Preparation, Maintenance. Jim Tyler. £5 + p.
  12. Dear Mark, Sorry I just spotted your post. The shell is silver and the panels are a colour that we have been trying to put a name to - I think the best bet is to send you a photo. I would call it a sort of copper metalic colour. The car was bought new by my sister from the Mercedes World place at Brooklands and we took it off her hands 18 months ago. It is our second Smart and we are getting another one soon. Best regards Andrew
  13. The wife's Smart ForTwo. 11,555 miles and on a 59 plate. it is the diesel model, so the road tax is £ zero, and it does up to 80 mpg. it has SatNav and Bluetooth plus iPod connection. it is the usual Smart automatic, or you can drive in semi-auto mode. Lovely red interior. Looking for somewhere in the region of £3,900. We are located in Pinner, NW London area. BM me if interested.
  14. Y7 ORK - The registration number was originally on my Caterham-FireBlade when it was new in 2002. I remember meeting another Seven owner at Curborough called David York who it would have been perfect for. The plate has been on our Smart car since the Cat-FireBlade went. I have no idea what is worth, I think I paid £500 for it. If you are interested then we can negotiate.
  15. There is a great YouTube clip of Chris Goodwin driving his McLaren M1B at Goodwood Revival - it has a camera pointing at the 8 inlets and you can see the 'stand off' at 3:30 and 4:20 into the film:
  16. Not 'The Gauge Shop' - I won't go into too much detail on here, but you would probably regret the day you ever tried doing business with the bloke - I lost money and was truly ripped off. Happy to explain what happened, but not on BlatChat.
  17. Myles - are you sure about the Varley Red Top, as looking at their web site, it says that the battery is lead-acid? So now I am confused
  18. Thanks for that Myles. I should have asked the question before soldering a male socket to the wrong trickle charger!! 🙆🏻 I'll look to order one - hopefully with socket plug already attached.
  19. I have a Race Technologies battery conditioner which says on it "Warning, only use on lead acid battery" and it has output of 12v 1.4 amps. Does the Varley Red Top qualify as a 'lead acid' battery? Probably a stupid question, but what made me have a doubt is that it is gel filled. 😬
  20. Dear Zetec, I've sent you a Blat Mail Regards Andrew
  21. I got your BlatMail Roger and have replied directly. Regards Andrew
  22. BTTT - 😬. Does anyone have a Weber Caterham balancing lever that fits between the two Weber carbs. It is the lever that has the two small opposing bolts that are tensioned with little springs, but also has an extra lever attached to it that accepts a secondary return spring. (The other end of this secondary return spring connects to the black angled bracket that fits to the underside of the carbs). Many thanks.
  23. I am looking for the little balancing lever that fits between the Weber carbs in the Caterham installation. The one that has the two spring loaded threaded adjusters - and has an extra lever for the secondary return spring. (If any of this makes sense to anyone 😬 please explain it to me 😬. )
  24. Scott, have you tried experimenting with the adjustable dampers - assuming it still has the adjustable Leda dampers on it. Best place to do this is on a track-day - try different settings and keep notes between settings. It was always odd seeing the temperature at 60 degrees, but James, and Paul Harvey, didn't think it an issue.
  25. Rog, YHM from me with a question.
