  1. 6” KN wheels and Yokohama A539 tyres with less than 800 miles of use. £650
  2. Is that with Tillets? the lowest bump on the underside of my Tillets is basically already on the ground now.
  3. Mines a 2005 ex academy car with the drivers floor lowered. I think I will stick to this cage if its not straight forward. I have made lower brackets and moved all down and as far forward as possible on both seats, my only last adjustment is the last furthest away boss for the pedals but I was un sure on the setup for the clutch cable.
  4. I made myself a set of 40mm thick aluminum plates with a threaded bolt in each corner so I could adjust the plate heights to match the garage floor imperfections. Once they were set up the bolts then stay in place and all I have to do is put them in the correct position on the garage floor (marked out) and in the correct orientation, and I have a flat floor, or at least way better than before! I then bought some aluminum tube and machined a joining boss so they could be longer (2m) and then machined grooves at the same positions on all ends. I use axle stands all four are identical to hold the tubes, it takes a little time to align the square but easy enough to do. Its way more difficult on the Elise as the body work and diffuser gets in your way when adjusting! I then made my own alignment rack to hang off the body work but ended up still using the string poles and axle stands as it was a faff!
  5. That’s what I have. its more space above the head if I can get some. i have adjusted the seat as far down and forward i can go, but when i heard about the tall man i thought i would ask.
  6. I have a Double D Imperial roll cage but require some more space! does anyone have a tall roll cage?
  7. How much taller is this roll cage vs the double D cage? I am 6"2 and its a little tight even though I have moved down and into the car as far as possible!

    tyres

Yeah I have a set of wheels which have r 888's they are 185/60/13 and the rears are 225/45/13, and they are great. I have ran R888's (the old tyre on the Elise) and they were great also, the Ad08r's however on the Elise were ok for road but I hated them on track! Doing some research the optimum tyre setup would be: But I don't believe the rear tyre sizes of 225/50/13 to be available. And the next best really would be this: This is the R888r setup: And you can get ZZR's in this size: We used to run 195/50/15's on the Elise on a 5.5j rim and they were ok. I have a square set of 6j wheels on the A539's which seem great but the 6j all round compared to the 8j rear just feels so floaty! have people found 195's of on the front? Jody.

    tyres

When I purchased tyres for the Elise it was quite easy to find the tyres size required. Where do people use for there tyres for the Caterham? 185/50/13 215/55/13 Jody.

    Rust!

I have just fitted these and believe them to be the same as the Caterham part. A lot cheaper too! 5 3/4" Satin Black Headlamp Bowl and Rim (carbuilder.com)
  11. The brackets are from Caterham direct mate. the bowls are from Car builder solutions. here: https://caterhamparts.co.uk/brackets/7753-headlamp-bracket-lhs.html?search_query=Head+light+brackets&results=343 This is LHS so just find the RHS on there. jode.
  12. So I’ve just completed fitting the latest head light brackets, car builder solutions (the same as Caterham parts) and the EBay Cafe racer style LED lights! simple install and they look so much better! The newer brackets (mines an imperial car) really suit the car sitting further forward.
  13. Long shot but does anyone have one lying around that they don't want anymore? Jody.
  14. Would anyone be able to tell me what size the hole is here please? I am fitting the later type headlight brackets with new 5.75" bowls and the Ebay Cafe racer lamps, and my Imperial chassis has not got these holes. I would like to make them the same size as factory if possible but need to order the correct size punch and die tool if I can get that in instead of a drill.
  15. I’ve just received my car builder solutions 5.75” head light bowls, my EBay Cafe racer lamps are due Monday and I’ve bought the newer head light brackets on the newer cars. (Mines and imperial) I bought the lowering brackets off here but they sat so far back you couldn’t see the indicators, and I saw this as abit dangerous. my question is can someone share with me some good images of where the wiring now runs with these brackets? im sure there is a hole drilled into the chassis wishbone mount are for the wires to run through but just want to be clear of the path. cheers, Jode.
  16. Does anyone know if you can buy the black bowls for these anywhere separate?
  17. Hi mate, as mentioned I’ve been there and done most on my Elise 1.8 so understand the primary bore size issue. I fancy making my own, so I might have a play.
  18. What power increase do the 4-2-1 manifolds give? on my Elise (std apart from 135 cams) the smaller bore 4-2-1 manifold gave a great increase of mid high end power torque, no dyno figures to show this but my butt dyno showed great improvements. I also tried a large bore manifold and this was a huge down grade on my engine spec. I’ve just fitted a 52mm throttle and 135 cams to my 1.6 K caterham and this was my next upgrade choice. interested in the results people have found.

  20. They’re not cheap for sure but I’ve ran them on my Elise and Clio and they make bleeding not a chore anymore. But mainly it’s now easy on your own. Fit the pipe, open the top valve, press the peddle as many times as required, tighten top valve, remove pipe onto the next. I have to say it’s one of the best feeling peddles you will get! jody.
  21. 2005 academy car so Girling fronts Sierra rears. sorry should of added that. jody.
  22. If you want to fit speed bleeders which make bleeding your brakes a doddle, here are the part numbers
