  1. #5 - Thanks for posting your experience, useful to use as reference.
  2. John, I feel like you're missing the point of the bedding in procedure. Having used a variety of track-focussed pads before, the bedding in procedure is not design to enable the brake pad to work - meaning the effectiveness of the pad is binary: It does not work, then once bedded in - it does. Rather, the procedure is there to provide a rapid bed-in procedure for a brake pad that is likely to be used in an aggressive application - read: spirited driving or track or even race use. For a "normal" brake pad - one that is not expected to be pushed hard from the get go - a rapid bed in procedure is not required as considered road driving for the first hundred miles of use will be appropriate. The rapid bed in procedure only serves to prevent issues with the pad if used aggressively from brand new, so when one phones up their insurance to tell them about a brake pad upgrade, the conversation will be something more like: "Hello Mr Insurer. I have upgraded my brake pads and will drive as considerately as I always do on the public road, but now know that my stopping distances have been reduced. Any problem with this?"
  3. Yes, of course John, thanks. But i'd much rather check if there's some common knowledge here on a simple fix first. Tom, I did wonder about getting the clutch pedal all the way down, but i'm certain I am. And the evidence of only one gear change being affected would suggest that's not the issue. I'll look into this more once i've spoken to GP Sevens.
  4. Anyone fancy 10 Audi R8 V10 spiders?
  5. Hello folks. After my mammoth drive from Kent to Munich in the Caterham, my mileage has reduced significantly, but now that I'm more comfortable pushing on in the car I've noticed a significant crunch when changing up from 1st to 2nd gear. The issue is only when the revs are high, and the speed with which I change gear doesn't seem to reduce the issue. Additionally, it is only when changing up from 1st, and not when changing down from 3rd. A quick search of the forum led me to this thread which suggests a threshold of 4.5k rpm but I haven't checked my car against this. I too have the 5 speed box, but i don't know what oil has been used in it. This thread doesn't seem to offer a conclusion to the problem, so i'm looking for any suggestions or experience others might have? Cheers, Pete.
  6. There's not a lot of that I understood fully, but the line about the GT40... I'd like to hear more about that!
  7. Okay, I'll measure this evening and submit my order tomorrow. Thanks!
  8. Are you still accepting orders for your pedal extensions?
  9. Received my Caterham sticker, looks good, thanks Mark
  10. Hi Mark. I'd like a Caterham decal if you have any left. I'll drop you a message now.
  11. Derek, I just learned of DaVinci Resolve this week (maybe late to the party). Did you find it easy enough to get used to working with?
  12. I have had a few over the years and currently have a 9. As mph says above, the software has always let GoPro down I feel. The app control is clunky and slow, but generally i've never had any issues. The camera saves longer videos in ~8 minute chunks in separate files, so even if you're doing a single take of something (a trackday stint for example), there's still wok to be done afterwards stitching them together. I believe GoPro now do a charge-through battery door, but I bought a chinese brand one which enables me to keep the battery door closed and still have it plugged in to power. You can run the camera like this sans battery, but I leave it in, just in case the cable is knocked out etc. I realise now I don't have any of my recent footage on YouTube, so maybe i'll upload that after work and post a link for you to see the camera in action.
  13. InternationalBiscuit, I'll drop you a message as I have a little experience with a similar situation.
  14. Parked outside my local off-licence. The number plate holder says www.madeinrussia.de
