Are the rear wheels the same width front and rear. If so could you swap front to rear and try to see if there is a change. I have had a prop shaft joint that was only showing that it was worn in a particular place as it was turned.

I think a lot of us leave our cars unused for a while and a lot of them have a parasitic load which drains the battery. I don’t like long term use of a conditioner so have fitted a battery isolates and have never had a battery problem in 8 years of owning my car. I would think this would solve a lot of the problems owners have. Just my thoughts.

It was only a question?

I Am generally one of the silent majority. If we have 2500 members surely when a change is to be made why are we not asked to vote yes or no before a change is made after all ultimately we pay for it. I thought this was how democracy is supposed to work

I think one of the reasons for changing the fluid is moisture. You can buy a tester and check the moister content (also useful for the tin top)

Just to add my own experience. I fitted a battery isolation switch accessible in passenger foot well and a powervamp battery four years ago. Car on axle stands for six months over winter. Plugs out, turn over engine for oil pressure. Plugs in car started first push of button. I set immobiliser before turning off battery

When I fitted mine I had the same issue there was a flat plate which I removed before fitting the channels
