  1. Thanks for the replies. Looks like a possible option on a secondhand one. I'd seen the ebay one but not sure I want to take the extra risk of breaking the glass to take it out and put in my anodised frame. Unfortunately no insurance - the car has not been used for 20+ years. The glass cracked across from an age old chip right at the edge when I lifted the frame off to give everything a good clean. (Edited poor writing)
  2. I'm hoping there's a cheapish way of replacing my terminally cracked screen. A quick google and forum search suggests: - a costly, but cheaper than Caterham, trip to Sevens and Classics, - a plain glass replacement from Caterham (?) with possible, but improbable, MOT query and a grumpy driver at times - get a plain glass cut locally Are there any other options? Thanks
  3. The maximum legal height is 100mm. If typical NT or driveway stick-on hard rubber triangular things then they hit the chassis hoop below the gearbox and the bellhousing on my old live axle x-flow. If concrete jobs in the road surface then a quick diagonal shuffle to get front and back wheel on can help but does get some odd looks! Cushions are dealt with one side on and one side off. None of this applies in Islington who clearly have a different measuring stick and some very odd ideas!
  4. Pair of yellow flared wings for 1989 live axle. Bought new but never fitted and still in Caterham wrapping. £120 or offers Pair of stays for above. Again new and unfitted but will need repainting as powdercoat wasn't good at that time. £30 (Caterham RRP now £150 a pair!!) Collect only (10 mins from M25 J5) Robert
  5. Bumped for last few bits if anyone wants them
  6. Hi I'm pretty sure the original conn's for the heater hoses are 3/8" NPT (taper). Burton used to do replacements in straight, 90 and 135 deg - the original cast alloy ones are odd angles. I'll check in my box of bits later as I might have spares. Robert
  7. I need to clear 30 years of collected stuff out the garage before moving! All parts from/for 1989 Live Axle - most will have been on the car at some time but only for a short period I think I've now got back to everyone who's asked for bits but shout if I've missed you! Last few bits if anyone wants to grab them Mitsuba electric fuel pump Wet sump oil pickups – std and flat pan A2 cam Oil cooler thermostatic block (Mocal Thermoblock?) Pair 7” headlights – untidy may be worth re-chroming rims and re-painting backs. CIBIE lenses 9" and 10" x 1/9" dia 120lb springs All for cost of delivery and small charity donation (Flared wings still available and listed separately) Robert
