  2. in the process of buying some 7 x13 wheels ,any pics of a set on a caterham? 7" all round pics please
  3. are the side walls stiff on the nanking ? The uniroyals feel a bit soft

  5. so toying with upgrading my tyres, mainly spirited road may but try a track day, running uniroyal rain3 atm ,car used in the dry
  6. read them all so available free as it seems a waste to bin them.I am based in Leeds, so pick up only due to weight. Years 1993, 2001 to 2009 most complete years, some missing one or two.I find it nice to pick something up and read ,rather than on line
  7. What do you reckon my 140 with the K maps and 421 full system is at now then ,approximately?
  8. if he has 140 already has he not got the cams in ? supersport? I fancy this route eventually and am running a 1.8K with 140,just fitted the 421 exhaust system to free it up a bit.I would be hoping for 160bhp with this and throttle bodies, would this be so? Do you have to do the pistons if your not bouncing of the limiter all the time, could it be set up to give better pull lower down the rev range?
  9. any pics and what width 6/7 inch
  10. not yet thats today job, although i did use a hi temp sealer on the joints and manifold to head ,so I hope this cures any leaks
  11. cheers guys, I will leave it as is and keep an eye on it
  12. So fitting the SLR system and nearly there.my question is how many fastening points do we have on our systems,I have the one at the back arch/body area, but my old silencer had one near the front ,is this needed? is the manifold to head and bolts through the collector lugs and the rear mount enough? and it wont be too ridged?
  13. ok ,thanks for the reply i can sleep a bit easier now
  14. ok,so the fitting of the 4-2-1 SLR system is progressing nicely, fitted the 7 inch silencer tonight to check fit etc and noticed i have about the thickness of my fore finger between the body and silencer ,is this ok/normal?
  15. I think its got some form of reflective cover on already ,its the alternator that concerns me,although i have some manifold lagging to help with that
  16. So update time, the old manifold came out once the engine lifted slightly ,and battery and lambda removed, still a pain in the ass though. Cutting the hole in the side ,very stressful and time consuming, checking and re-checking before trimming. At the stage where its starting to take shape and light at the end of the tunnel, pics so far ,but i need the just trim one primary so all off again!!!
  17. Keep us posted,I have notice a chassis bar that goes across the top of the manifold area, some folk have removable ones which i would presume will make life easier
  18. ok guys, update managed to release the manifold, took the lambda and battery off and it just came out, cant say I am looking forward to trying to worm the 4 pipes in the same area ,any tips on that process?
  19. ok,so in the process of fitting a 4-2-1 system to my k series car(2005) dropped the old silencer off no problem, and all the manifold bolts came out fine. The issue now is i cant seem to get the old 4-1 manifold out, undone the engine mounts to see it that helped but no,anyone got any tips ,or can tell me where i am going wrong?
  20. yes it could look a bit Nora batty, come on ,dont tell me youve not thought about nora?...lol Idea is to stitch/staple the sleeve tighter then use the clamps
