understood guys and i wont mess, just wondered if the diff cover could be removed in position on the car ,to have a look inside. the noise is annoying. though.......

is this something that can be done with feel ,rather than dropping the diff off .or even adjust and run to see if it quietens it down.or can the diff cover be removed insitu and adjusted?

well they are on and fit no rubbing issues ,good clearance at the front due to rounded shoulders.

So it sounds like 200tw are better for fast road/occasional track (if i end up doing a track day)

ok so the tyre saga continues,do i go 100 tread wear or 200 tw? i presume 100 is stickier and warms quicker than the 200,but in a car the weight of a Caterham would 100tw be ok for grip and longevity

cheers James, is the shoulder roundness good or a bad thing? the toyo and yoko you mentioned were on my list ,it was purely the acceleras came at a good price

Understand James, the ones i fancied seem more track semi slick, but still a legal road tyre. Accelera 651, not sure if they are any good?

Oh dear that's not good news,could it be adjusted/bent out of the way? my very rough calculations make the 50 series around 10mm(5mm top 5mm bottom) bigger.Just found some Accelera 651 tyres that seem ok and was going to go for them

ok so toying with getting some new rubber for the car,have uniroyal 195/45/15 on at the moment ,my questions is ,tyres in this size seem more expensive with less choice.Can you fit 195/50/15 tyres or will this size cause issues with fit or catching the clams ?

thinking rear type , I didn't realise they were'nt really liked? ok so another angle ,anyone covered the back underside of the car to protect it and tidy it up a bit ?

looks good ,so 7 rears 6 fronts ? so is it 205 rears with 7" and 185 fronts with 6" ?
