    Motamec Mirrors

I think I'm going to go for these mirrors as you can lock them with a grub allen screw as opposed to the DPR mirrors. Has anyone drilled the alloy screen uprights with the screen in place and then tapped four holes to fit for allen bolts? Is it too risky a job? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motamec-Racing-02-Formula-Side-Wing-Mirror-x2-Convex-Glass-MATT-BLACK-F1-Car/233823947816?epid=23004473785&hash=item3670fe4c28:g:5ZIAAOSwXZ1f2kyk The alternative is this expensive DPA/SPR solution... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DPR-Caterham-Pillar-Mount-to-fix-Spa-mirrors-to-the-windscreen-stanchion/373016891123?hash=item56d98a0ef3:g:MYEAAOSwafNe8K6T
  2. I'd go for a QED remote stat. OK so not as cheap as a PRRT but ultimately the QED sorted out all my problems in one fail swoop.
  3. Hi The new Super Seven has an elevated brake light on a couple of bits of rod. Does anyone know how this SS one's attached and what will be left behind? Looks a bit crap IMPHO.Where's the middle light on say a new 420R without a spare wheel? Car itself looks tasty though. Not sure about the pimped out ghetto interior..! This one's available now for £41k as a preorder for stock (I assume..). It has 4 grands worth of leather and mohair. Plus another 4 odd grand of options. Does one need a leather covered roll over bar? If you do happen to end up upside down the leather will be ruined. Anyway, never mind the price feel the quality.. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/10829386?cId=10632713&cId=10643677&cId=10562335&cId=10671749&cId=10741600&cId=10815199&cId=8909001&cId=10434126&cId=10428682&cId=10683908&cId=10805872&cId=10829386&cId=10569847&cId=10694256&cId=10669627&cId=10360229&cId=10218094&cId=10729295&cId=10633273 Thanks
  4. Thanks Mrp Exactly what I wanted to see. Means my modification "should" be easy..!
  5. Excellent and thanks. Just what I wanted to know.
  6. Thanks! but.. I would like to know if brand new machines have rivnuts..! On an SV there is absolutely no room to access the securing nuts. On an S3 there appears to be a bit of space to get a spanner on from behind.
  7. Hi I have a 2006 SV and my fog/reverse light units are bolted on (obviously!) via a captive bolt in the unit and a nut/washer on that back. This is totally inaccessible with an SV tank. I understand that new machines have a rivnut and the units are thus bolted on from the front. Is anyone currently building a new S3 and can confirm this? I have a new S3 on the way will want to carry out a mod which will necessitate removal....
  8. It makes little sense to drill a hole in the dash to fit a switch for what is a temporary lash up. You could have cable tied the switch underneath the dash onto something accessible. Of course it's your car...
