  1. Thanks everyone, and apologies for the lack of replies and updates, family circumstances kept me away from the car and my computer for a few days. I have nothing further to report except that I bought a new switch whilst I was away as a lazy "quick fix" hope, but unfortunately it hasn't solved the problem. Jonathan, I'd like to take you up on the offer of a wiring diagram please, I'll message you. Maybe once I understand the circuit a little more, I'll have some hope of diagnosing it!
  2. Ian Thats a good point, thank you, I'll check the colours.
  3. I'm intending to keep updating this in the hope that it may be of some use to others who encounter similar problems. So far, I've checked continuity between the connections at the rear of the switch, and the connector which attaches to the park switch on the motor. All appears good. I've cleaned the connector pins and shined them up. I intend to check continuity across the switch but don't know what I'm looking for yet, more research needed! As soon as I operate the switch with the ignition on, I'm blowing the 15a fuse. My current focus is a box attached to the bulkhead, like a cigarette box sized unit with a silver shroud. Could this be the fabled intermittent wipe box that I've read about? I can't find a picture on Google to check. If so, I've heard it's the source of issues. It appears to have wires coming out of it, one of which is terminated (black). Hmm. The puzzle continues.
  4. Thanks. I haven't done anything to the earthing point on the wiper bracket bolt except clean it up with a dremel to ensure good contact. Intermittent wipe - not sure, it's not had them fitted in my ownership- I understand there's a module somewhere which controls this feature that's unreliable though? What does it look like? I'll check the system voltage, but I was worried that just having the ignition on would burn something out. I hear what your saying about the wire - it had a crimp on it, but looked like it has broken/been cut next to the crimp - I wonder why. Thank you , as always, for your help. I had hoped this would be one of the easier projects!
  5. Morning everyone I've hit a snag on my sigma race car to road car transformation that is puzzling me a bit, if anyone has any wisdom to offer? Ive acquired a new, tested working, wiper assembly. I figured that this would be one of the easier projects that I have undertaken, given that the connector was there, just waiting to be plugged in. One of the wires to the loom connector (orange) was broken, so I joined it with a crimp. I'm getting nothing from the motor at all, and I'm going to start probing with the multimeter to see if I can figure it out. But more worrying, I blew a 15a fuse immediately, and then when I replaced it, with the ignition on I'm getting wisps of smoke from behind the switch, and from the motor itself. In addition, when I work the switch vigorously, the rev counter needle moves around. Do they share an earth, or does anyone have any thoughts as to what might be happening ? many thanks
  6. Did you find a source Simon, or buy new in the end?
  7. Hi Simon i asked the same question recently and was pointed towards Team Parker Racing. However I couldn't get a response from them, but apparently they strip them off in prep for racing, I hope this is of some use. I didn't ever get sorted, so if you get more than one offer would you point them my way please, as I'm still looking? best regards Adrian
  8. Payment sent, with thanks. I can't reply to your message as your mailbox is full. best regards Adrian
  9. Sir I have a 2009 car with the older style brackets and 7 inch lights. Will these fit my car? If I want to change my lights for the smaller 5 3/4 can I still use these brackets? and last silly question of the day, f the answer to the above is yes, please could I have a set, and could you let me know how much, and how, you would like paying please? best regards Adrian
  10. I didn't get an answer from Team Parker, so a quick bump to the top in case anyone missed this first time around and has anything? Thanks.
  11. That's very kind of you, I'm miles away near Skipton, N Yorks. I'll give them a call next week and see what they have. Obviously I'd be happy to cover any costs incurred, the CC ones just seem a bit excessive, and I guess quite a few owners go aero and never return!
  12. I'm converting my race car to road use and need a wiper motor assembly and any associated bits and pieces if anyone has gone the other way and has anything gathering dust please? My wife won't join me in the car until there's a windscreen on it, and now I need wipers because there's soon to be a windscreen.... Alternatively, if anyone can advise of a suitable alternative to the very expensive CC option I'd be grateful. many thanks.
  13. Absolutely JV. If anyone here has access to accurate measuring equipment I could post them the ring, and they could confirm the measurements and send it back? I'd hate to allow my ineptitude and lack of decent kit to lead anyone down the wrong path.
  14. Yes please Gary. I'm just heading out for a few hours, but will send you a message later if that's ok?
  15. Hi Gary I've got the screen thanks, it's just the stanchions and rubber that I'm short of. Cheers
  16. Anyone got any windscreen stanchions for sale please, before I go to the usual places? Im also after a couple of metres of the scuttle to windscreen rubber seal if anyone has anything kicking around? Many thanks
  17. Here's today's effort JV. Total outside diameter 93.3 (I know, I know, slightly different to my last reading...) Trough to trough - 88mm. As close to correct diameter as I can get between the teeth with these calipers I think.
  18. Depth of teeth is proving the trickiest to measure with these rubbish calipers, I'm trying to find someone locally with an accurate set.
  19. Apologies, I didn't register the question. 4mm between the teeth, and about 2mm depth of teeth?
  20. I'm coping this from my post on the other thread. Clive has been kind enough to send me a reluctor ring - thanks Clive. I only possess a very cheap set of digital callipers, and have nothing to check their accuracy against, so I have measured several times in the hope that my results are consistent with the same kit. Inside diameter 71.8mm Outside diameter 93.2 mm Thickness - 8.8mm Depth of teeth- tricky one, approx 2.5 mm I hope this is of some use to someone.

  22. Very poor. It's a shame we can't get accurate information, there's probably a forum member with the skills, and a lathe, to produce a few of these, and I'd gladly give them my money.
