  1. Well problem hopefully solved, looks like somebody had robbed the stat out of the brand new engine!!!!! Alan
  2. Okay, so how many VVC owners are seeing normal temps without blanking off any of the grill, I can't say I am happy in doing this as it does not seem right! Alan
  3. Jonathan, don't know what thermostat as it is a brand new VVC lump so stat as from factory I would presume. I have only had the engine in a few weeks so no hot weather driving yet, at idle the temp rises. Ian, if I blank off some of the nose cone I would be worried about it overheating at idle. Alan
  4. Has anyone had a problem with there VVC engine running too cool, it reaches temperature and the fan cuts in at idle but on a journey it struggles to get above 60!

  21. Mr Reeves, you are quite right, there was no way a Starcom with its hideous jumble of wires was getting anywhere near my car, I have seen quite a few of them installed and it is crazy in my opinion but each to there own, the difference with my Peltor and why I opted for it is that there is no hard wiring to do, it is only attached to the dash with double sided velcro, so removabe without trace, it is easy to adjust whilst driving along without even looking at it, definitely no chance of any interference from the car, and finally the cost is very little more than the Starcom, yes guess what, I love it. :) Alan
  22. Are you taking your eyes off the road Mr Reeves whilst fiddling with the remote! I also have the Peltor system and have velcro'd it on the dash so you can easily adjust whilst driving, such a better system than the Starcom in my view, a lot less messing about to wire it in and the added bonus is that if you run it on the 9v battery instead of wiring to the car there is no interference at all Alan

    CSR wheels

I don't know the offset John, but they do say that ordinary wheels can't be used on a CSR so might be the same the other way round! Alan
  24. Can't you just plumb a rad from your heating system Ken, that is what I am doing. Alan
