  1. My times look incorrect, I don't think I did two consecutive 63.02 times, and my best time is 62.83.
  2. Wow, amazing responses thanks! So much great information that helps a lot, as I am a bit of a philistine when it comes to this subject. But am now an instant expert, thanks again all. See you at Harewood.
  3. Not sure why this posted twice! Just comment on this one please
  4. I need to replace my camera for the car, and looking for advice please. GoPro 8 looked interesting but online reviews are not great for situations kike being strapped to a car. So just looking for your experience or suggestions so I buy the right camera. Any advice welcome! Thanks!
  5. Richard on the case! Thank you :)
  6. I now feel like I am missing more than a paddock place, as I have not received any notification of a paddock plan!! I have signed up for both days and completed the online sign-in... can anyone tell me if I am on the paddock plan? I will try and track one down in the meantime.
  7. Your post made me laugh. I know it's not personal Paul :) No danger of a Chinese burn from me at Aintree.
  8. Unfortunately I'm not available that weekend, but it sounds like a great track
  9. Yellow trowel??? Oh FFS my week just keeps getting worse Let's agree to re-name it the "Maximum Effort Award"
  10. Thanks Dave, great pics!
  11. It was a great day on Sunday, really well run and lots of volunteers chipping in on the timing which i know we all appreciate - but important to acknowledge! Someone even sorted the weather out. Happy birthday Michael! The BBQ approaches on Saturday evening were varied and entertaining, and I think Sean and Gill win as the most in control and organised chefs - and my seriously burned sausages were reflective of the following day on track - starting with promise then slowly falling down the order in a puff of (tyre) smoke. Just got over my sulk from Sunday :) and just read in low flying that I was apparently lucky in Anglesey to get a Sunday 3rd as I got a re-run and therefore warm tyres on the last run. Not that anyone cares but whilst a few drivers did get re-runs, I was definitely not one of them, and having been very happy with my final lap (on cold tyres!) I will now be sulking again... I will be fine by Aintree. Probably.
  12. But the cafe will be open both evenings most importantly so hopefully I will see a few of you in there for dinner? I should be in there by about 7.15pm on Friday I hope
  13. Actually only lots of questions from Lewis who is new to this, hence my offer of help as he needs to chat to someone I think. Otherwise, nothing new really, other questions were not massively interesting.
  14. Yes, it's fancy dress. S&M themed
  15. Hi Lewis, do you want to discuss what is required tomorrow? The regulations are available in the competitor area of this site, so have a read through. if you want to chat through what is required for your first sprint weekend, just send me your number on a PM and I will call you tomorrow.
  16. A chap called Lewis on the Anglesey briefing tonight sounded like he needs a bit of help. Lewis if you read this, please ask questions on here as it seems like you might need to speak to someone for some advice on what to expect and prepare. Happy for u to contact me if u want to discuss it tomorrow?
  17. Just realised I counted entries not cars, so we should be ok with four garages for all of us - assuming we can secure them. Graham is trying to get two, thanks!
  18. Here we go again. As with the event last year, if everyone tries to get a garage we should be fine, and maybe give one or two back if required. Put the date in your diary, mobile or back of your hand (Punch) for your most exciting 60 seconds of March - 8pm Monday 21st March. Only 11 garages available, and they are £125 each. £15.62 each assuming 8 per garage. I count 34 entries for the club, and 4 garages will hold 32 cars. So we need 4 garages to try and accommodate everyone (not sure it's possible) or two people maybe don't want a garage? Maybe easier to know who wants one again on this thread? I know I do!
  19. I am selling my immaculate Tiguan R-line, which is a brilliant tow car. It has the retractable tow bar which tucks away when not in use. It also has trailer assist, which steers the trailer for you when hitched up without you having to steer. It has a reversing camera that can focus on the tow ball for hitching up. It has been great for towing my Caterham. Other features, 4 Motion, DSG gearbox, park assist, high beam assist, Lane assist, distance sensing cruise control, park assist, road sign recognition, panoramic sunroof, DAB, Nav, 150bhp 2.0 diesel. Full VW service history. It is 18 reg, 34,000 miles, and in excellent condition. I have lots of pics if you are interested, and it is on eBay currently. PM me if you are interested, car is in Wakefield. On eBay at £28,500, which is below similar models.
  20. Good point on compounds. There are two it seems on the Caterham website, but only 1 will be correct for us. One is a softer compound I think - but hopefully someone will come along with some advice on that as I want to know too, before I buy a new set.
  21. (Almost) Everyone in the class uses ZZS, and it helps keeps a level playing field. You are right, they are good in wet and dry, so it saves having to carry spare wheels around. The 888's are on the 1B list so are ok from a regulation perspective but I could not advise on the difference between the two, but I would recommend ZZS.
  22. I agree with Richard's and Rob's comments on the proposed change to dual driver order, so support the change.
  23. Brilliant! See you all later
