  1. Thanks Rich, that's exactly the effect I am after. Just a few more little tweaks to come! Cheers
  2. Hi I had no idea either. I will made contact with HQ and see what they say! Will come back soon. Cheers, Julian
  3. Hi I have the later one too. No snowflake mode but "auto temperature compensation" instead! I will fit and forget! Cheers, Julian
  4. Hi Jonathan I was not having any problems as such, just not charging when not using the car which may have been upto 2 weeks at a time so occasionally, the battery only just had enough oomph to do the job. It's a standard Banner battery Cheers
  5. Hi I have only recently bought a CTek (MXS5.0). Since I have been a little uncaring of my battery I decided to put it on recond mode. It has been running since yesterday afternoon and is now on the green Float setting. So what do I do now, just leave it on until I next use the car and let it do what ever it needs to? Sorry for the numpty question. Cheers, J
  6. Delighted with mine thanks Rich Some Ti trackrods would finish the effect just perfect!
  7. Hi I would like to ascertain interest for me to arrange a bulk buy of the L7C logo and the Lotus Seven Club script. I have seen the script on some cars from an previous BB, never seen the logo though. My thoughts were to keep it simple so each item available in black and in white. The script 150mm long would give around 15mm high capitals. The logo I was thinking at around 90mm wide x 45mm high. Please post any interest or BM me Cheers. Julian
  8. Hi Just thought it might be useful information for someone else in the future to add that I ended up using Keep Powderdoating in Uckfield. They did my roll bar in 2 days for £50 and, best of all, they did a super job and it now looks as good as new, I am delighted. Next stop windscreen posts and surround in the spring! Cheers, Julian
  9. Welcome SSBen. Pop over to the next mid-Sussex meet if you can? It's a pretty easy trip. I regularly come through Etchingham on my way out on a Sunday "early doors" blat in better weather. Hope to see you sometime soon! Cheers, Julian
  10. Hi Thanks for the info. It turns out that there is someone who has done Seven stuff for Richard locally so I gave them a call and am going to pop down there one morning to see what they can do! Thanks Ian and Adam. Cheers, Julian
  11. Hi Rich My grille arrived today. What can I say, fabulous, miles better than the original, a wonderful addition to my car. Highly recommended. Cheers, Julian
  12. Hi I want to get my rollbar refinished. It is painted in body colour at the moment and I rather like the idea of having it powdercoated in satin [well not high gloss] black to match windscreen surround etc..,. What do I have to ask for to get it done? Is beadblasting to strip off the paint first? And any recommendations for places to go in mid-Sussex? Thanks, Julian
  13. Hi Chris A wonderful warm autumn day on Saturday, managed to put 150 miles round the best roads, and never saw another Seven. I could have written exactly the same post! Cheers, J
  14. Send a BM to Rich with your email addy and he will send you a pic...
  15. Any chance of a photo Rob? Anyone?
  16. Hi Rich Any chance you have a Ti grille left, S3 carbon nosecone? Thanks, Julian
  17. I never thought such an innocent post by little me would stimulate so much interest and debate! I will be playing around with RARB settings and disconnection in the near future. Do I have to remove the weight from the rear wheels to align the different bolt holes or can it be done sitting on the deck? The reason for considering the smaller rear wheels is to increase the fun factor, make the back end more predictable and easier to get closer to the limit, with more progressive breakaway. I understand that is what it will give me. I also find it interesting that CC themselves fit 6" on the back of the Roadsport and Supersport, including the 180bhp R version. See at 1min37secs for Chris Harris on the subject. Cheers, J
  18. Hi Chris. Thanks for the corroboration. Peter, thanks for the technical info. Pendennis, I have no problem with rear end grip. Note I am not dashing out to buy anything, just want to know what I am talking about for now. Thanks
  19. Hi As a follow up to my previous posting, please can someone let me know what wheels I have to buy? If I am getting 4no 6" rims do I just order the wheels that normally go on the front for the rears? Do I need to worry about specifying offsets etc..? Sorry for such a numpty question. Thanks, Julian
  20. Hi, thanks for your comments. Tom, I do indeed have an LSD. Interesting to hear with "your limited talent" you still had an advantage that you put down to the smaller tyres and LSD. Naturally I will try the options and make up my own mind but, as a reletively recent Seven owner, it is good to hear the advice given is solid and worth pursuing. Next decision seems to be should I buy a whole new set of four wheels and tyres or just the two smaller rears? Having the two sets will give me the opportunity of running different tyres too... I think I may slacken off the rear ARB to the minimum for a while and see how I get on with that first though. Little steps... Cheers, Julian
  21. Hi Mankee Your experience seem to fairly closely reinforce the advice I have been given which is good. My Seven is mostly for road use. I intend doing occasional track days but the road set up will take precedence. Thanks, Julian
  22. Hi, I have a "Superlight spec" Roadsport 140. Currently with 13" dia 6" fronts and 8" rears. Rear ARB is set one up from lowest setting. It has been suggested, to improve feel and balance that I remove the rear ARB by one who has done the same, and another suggested I put 6" wheels on the back to match the front. What do POBC think please? Cheers.
  23. I flashed and from black BMW 1 series! I think you were turning into the nursery?
