Any recommendations as to the manufacturer to use (current ones are Lucas) The original owner of car put the 'big brake' kit on the front only. mav Posted September 10, 2005 Share Posted September 10, 2005 Rog, I have the big front upgrade and std rears. When the 'lucas' pads wore out, I replaced them with mintex m1144 compound. I have IMO great brake balance front to rear. Others prefer the std caterham 'upgraded' rear pads as you had previously. I did have to use completely std pads at one point earlier this year, and they were completely mullered in two track sessions at knock hill... Mintex part number is MDB1287M1144.
