John Griffiths
I now understand that this is not a substance but a mechanical device for enhancing driving pleasure. My question is what effect does it actually have in "normal" road use and should I get one for my mildly tuned 1600 fatboy roadsport 🤔 My existing diff. does seem to clonk a lot when I get drive line shunt at low speed on a light throttle. But I am told TADTsir. I have had the car checked over so do not suspect broken bolts/mountings/casings etc or undue play in the drive shafts. John Griffiths
Bare
Awww.. Too Bad.. If my memory still serves.. Owlsley 'Sunshine' was V nice indeed.. prolly even a bit more fun than a Limited Slip Diff :-)
old captain slow
Probably not a lot of advantage in normal road use except you will definitely be quicker off the line and powering out of corners. C7 CDW
Sheds Moderator
They are clunkier than an open diff and offer a minimal advantage in road use. In fact in inexperienced hands they can be an aid to having an accident as a result of more power in corners.
paulyb
Surprised and disappointed this thread has been here so long without anyone mentionning doughnuts 😬
old captain slow
There again you can do doughnuts in carparks and U-turns anywhere. PS - the smileys aren't working. C7 CDW
