Bedazzled
My tonneau cover has got a flap in it on the passenger side for a bracing strut to go through. The flap leaks when it is raining and results in a puddle of water in the passenger seat. I never use the strut, so is there a simple way to seal the flap to prevent the leak? What have other people done? Thanks!
Peter Carmichael
Duct tape applied from both sides has worked perfectly for ~6 years on mine...
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted March 12, 2004 Leadership Team Share Posted March 12, 2004 Buy some extra velcro tape and stitch it in on the 2 open sides Stu.
Strangely
I second the duct tape. Mine worked for about five years, until the tonneau blew away. 😳
stevefoster
Wasn't that my duct tape Jason? Concur with Peter... Use it either side of the hole, sticky face to face, so the tonneau in the sandwich filling. It won't stick to the tonneau material well otherwise Hants (North) and Berkshire Area club site here My racing info site here Edited by - stevefoster on 13 Mar 2004 08:07:
