k80rum
I'm pondering the options available to dry-sump a K-series and wondered if it's feasible to have the best of both worlds: A Pace kit (with the cost and scavenging benefits it brings) A Caterham bell-housing tank Assuming I had acquired a Caterham dry-sump bellhousing tank with it's conning tower, is it likely to be possible to marry it to the Pace system? Just a thought, and no doubt a daft one.. 🙆🏻 Darren K80RUM
Luke Beaumont
I'm sure it would be fairly trivial to hook it up into the bell tank instead of a separate one, with perhaps a few custom hoses from a hydraulics supplier. Thing is, many people see the bell tank as having numerous disadvantages and are thus happy to go for a separate tank.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted March 11, 2004 Leadership Team Share Posted March 11, 2004 Also, the Pace setup has twin pipes running to the tank, Caterham belltank has only one. I've been trying to source a Caterham belltank for months with no success - I have the rest of the Caterham setup but need the tank - so unless you already have a tank go for the complete Pace setup. I'm verging on ordering the Pace (aka Brice) tank which is a very good piece of kit - more capacity than the belltank, and much shorter oil line runs. Stu.
