Jonathan Kay
I can't find any reference to that in the archives. You might be able to check its suitability by cross-referencing part numbers. Have you asked Caterham Parts and Redline? Jonathan
Stewart Collier
I went through this process in 2023. I did contact Caterham and Redline, but their prices were eye watering. I did buy one from Ebay, after I researched the numbers from the old pump on Google. I'll try and find the details.
150SV
Jk, Redline have quoted £250….. im 97% sure te pump I listed is the right one, I just wanted a sanity check….
David_Stamp
I am absolutely not an expert on fuel pumps but the float on the one pictured is very different to the ones fitted in most Caterham's I.e white plastic and round
David_Stamp
This was an earlier thread on re-calibrating the fuel tank pump float (to give better, and definitely more accurate fuel gauge readings) which shows the typical Caterham fuel pump/float arrangement for Duratec and Sigma cars:
150SV
Yes, I agree RE the float , but I can’t see that making any actual difference ? it is just a float after all….
150SV
Plus it doesn’t look a huge issue to swap the float arms over
John Vine
I wouldn't worry about the float. I believe Ford's design changed around 2019 from round to flat, so I imagine the lookalike products would have followed suit. OP, what year is your car? Can you see the part number of your existing pump? If so, you could ask the Cambiare seller if their unit is compatible. JV
150SV
My car is 2007…. ive not yet checked for a number on the pump.
Stewart Collier
I remember what I did now. I got the part number from the top the pump and went to the Ford main dealer. They told me which model of Ford it referred to and I searched Google for the pump for that model.
150SV
Ok, so my next question is: am I going to be able to remove the broken stub in the pipe ? how does that pipe detach from the pump ?

David_Stamp
That Cambiare fuel pump is available on Ebay (model number VE523021) for £79.03 at the link below and appears to have free delivery AND a 20% extra discount using code RENEW20. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335291640024 [I do not know if this part will fit - I am just responding to the OP's first post mentioning that part name and number. The compatibility chart on Ebay does show that this part number is compatible with a wide range of Ford cars] Edited March 18 by David_Stamp

Thanks Jonathan Well, the top of the OP's pump looks identical to mine (2008 R400D): (illustrated upthread -- with the round float). The part number on the barcode label reads 3M51-9H307. According to this site, it comes from a Focus Mk2 2005-2008. (ETA: At £39.95, that one is also much cheaper than the Cambiare one, but it's used, not new.) Jonathan Kay
I think that 3M51-9H307 or M519H307AC is a Ford part number. Autodoc page of equivalents. Jonathan
