Duratec coolant drain and refill

I am planning on refreshing the coolant over the winter and am interested if there is a procedure for doing this to avoid airlocks.  I am aware that it can be an issue on a K, but didn't know if there was a preferred way to carry this out on a Duratec ?

I presume you have the heater stopper pulled out whilst emptying/filling? And the “bleed screw” you’re referring to being on the radiator? I’ve got a Radtec and I’m not sure it have a bleed screw. Is there an alternative bleed point?

Yes, open the heater valve fully.

This is the bleed screw on my 2008 R400D:

This rad is whatever CC fitted in 2008/9.  Does your Radtec have something similar?  Photos would be good.
