heptagon
I keep the 7 in a long single garage but need to create a bit more garage length by lifting the 7 so I can get a second car tucked a little way under it. It's more for permanent storage than working on cars all the time and I'm looking for any simple and cost effective solution to lift the 7. This photo I saw on PH gives the idea Does anyone have experience of these type of lifts and their sizing for a 7, a couple of links I've seenhttps://www.strongmanlifts.co.uk/product/tamar-mobile-car-scissor-lifthttps://automotechservices.co.uk/products/as-7630-mobile-scissor-lift/https://automotechservices.co.uk/products/as-7532b-3-2t-mid-rise-scissor-lift/

heptagon
Many thanks Jonathan, I was a bit surprised there hasn't been more discussion on various lifting options so thought I'd ask again
Dan R
I had a read through the archives some time ago and IIRC the impression i got was that the scissor lift may not be the best solution for working on a 7 (Due to accessibility of the car once its on, i think), but if you are just looking at lifting it then that may not be relevant? Drumster
I have the bhrepairs one from the 2018 thread, no issues with side access or access underneath
Dan R
Well this certainly opens it up as an option! I will have a re read and try to understand the issues that were mentioned a little better. The memory may be failing me with the passage of time!
heptagon
Thanks and really useful to see a photo of a 7 on one, that looks like it would create lots of room behind the car at the back
Andy Doughty
If you have the width in the garage, how about a small 2 post lift? They give complete clear access and if you have the height 2 car double stacking may be possible.
Drakman
My scissor lift is clear span on the ramps so i have good access to work underneath it.

heptagon
Interesting to see more photos with a 7, I'm a little spilt on whether to get one with just the spreading arms or ramps like yours. The smaller ones are probably a bit more portable if I need to move it. I've also got a significant slope up to the garage to first get it installed. Drumster
The BHRepairs one does have a cross member but it's not really affected anything I need to do but what sold it to me was the fact that it's only 34" wide which means side access to cockpit and engine bay doesn't require leaning over the ramps IYSWIM. Not sure where your based Heptagon but I'm in East Sussex if you want to pop in
