Changing the clutch fluid (310R)

#25 I think that's a rarity. It's usually the 200+ bhp cars that go through the Titan quickly. I have friends with 310s who seem OK after 15/20k miles

#24 They're all metal plates, some were coated with a carbon friction material others with a sintered metal layer.

Mine was carbon coated plates (Well, I say that; at 7500 miles they were just bare steel plates!) and I think Nigel's was though I'm not sure. There have been failures of both types, though the sintered plates last longer than the carbon. Both Nigel and I have 220bhp, though I think Nigel's failure preceded his upgrade from 210bhp.

I had my original Titan diff rebuilt with sintered plates but couldn't live with the noise and harshness. Then when I looked at the economics of rebuilding it according to CC and Titan's recommendations v fitting the Tracsport it was a no brainer for me.

Anyway, we digress......... *wink*
