Peter Mears
When these wings are changed what's the best way to deal with the holes that are left. Obviously the car will go to a body shop for a re spray but can they just fill the holes or should something be done first to stop any problems for the average body shop. Anyone have experience in having this done. Thanks Pete

Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted January 9, 2023 Leadership Team Share Posted January 9, 2023 If it's going for a re-spray the aluminium can be repaired prior to paint. When mine was painted a few years ago I carefully flattened out any holes to be filled and epoxy bonded small pieces of aluminium to the rear, I then left it to the body shop to fill and finish prior to paint. Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted January 9, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted January 9, 2023 Peter, a direct answer. Tony at TSK is excellent at that sort of thing, the head of a jubilee clip holding the fuel line to the carbuettors punched a hole in my bonnet (due to bonnet vibration) He fixed it an did the painting. TSK Autocentre 01732 75 02 56. Nowhere better.
ACFowles
Any plans for the now redundant flared wings & brackets, Peter? ;-)
Peter Mears
Very early stages yet as only picked the car up yesterday but I believe the wings and brackets might be available when I sort this and strip the car. I'll keep this in mind. And thanks for the replies I think I might be on the right track to sorting a plan.
