Kimble
This is on my R400k SV. Has anyone ever experienced similar?I obviously need to repair, unsure whether to have them all renovated by Bilstein or replacing with something else (Nitrons?). Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted July 16, 2022 Leadership Team Share Posted July 16, 2022 That's.not the shock body it's only the adjuster sleeve, Caterham should be able to supply a replacement and should be straightforward to swap once the shock is removed.Stu. Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted July 16, 2022 Leadership Team Share Posted July 16, 2022 This is the full kit but if you speak to Caterham they might be able to supply just one sleeve, or post a wanted ad, someone might have a spare!Stu.
Kimble
They sell the sleeves as individuals, just ordered one. Thanks again.

ECR
Assuming the replacement sleeve is identical to the cracked one, remember to take measurements before removing the defective part...

Area Representative paul richards Posted July 16, 2022 Area Representative Share Posted July 16, 2022 From memory I think you may have to remove the top eye on the shock absorber to replace the sleeve. It can be very tight. If you are gripping the chrome rod of the shocker make sure you use a vice with aluminium jaws to avoid damage.
