Sump gasket curing time?

One standard technique for silicone RTV gaskets is to apply the gasket bead and torque the bolts evenly to a jointing torque value that is about 25% of the final value, leave overnight, then torque to the final value the next day. The gasket will continue to cure to maximum strength for a longer period, but should be fluid resistant and ready for use after the second torquing.

The film thickness will be tiny, so I think you could fill with oil and go the same day.  That was certainly the case with the Ford sealant (1217470) that Raceline supplied with my Duratec wet sump, and Raceline made no mention of curing times.  The key is to make sure sealant has extruded all the way round the join.

The Loctite 5980 curing data says:

According to that, even a 1mm film cures in a day, and your film will be much thinner.
