#25. Chris that looks like quite a good quality mat and May well be more waterproof than the ones I tested so if you're determined to go with that system then give it a go, it'll probably be ok as most of the time our cars are used on dry days only, when I do mine I'll be painting on the rubberized underseal as it'll be much easier than cutting, shaping and sticking and it can't fall off.

Found time this weekend to fit the camping mat to the arches - thought it was going to be more hard work than it turned out to be. 
Next step is to drill holes for the lights - for which I'll be sure to apply the "measure twice, drill once" approach.
