Blank or similar for Caterham door mirror mounts

Evening all,

I'm looking around for a blank or similar to neatly fit/replace the side mirrors as standard on the CC supplied side screens.  

I'd like to fit the Eccles mirror mounts as I did on my 420.  Unfortunately I can't merely fit the 420 doors as the 620 isn't fitted with the elbow rests as per the 420 so the side screen securing mechanism is different.

I suspect when I remove the pre-fitted side mirrors from the side screens there's going to be an impression in the door material along with the predrilled hole.  It would be nice to cover it with a thin plate for similar dimensions, may be even make a nice feature of it.

I'm assuming others have retro fitted the Eccles mount having used the factory setup ?

When I moved my mirrors off the doors a long time ago, I just put a spot of black silicone sealant in each screw hole.

Chicargo bolts are the answer and they come in a range of sizes and finishes. like these

The black end of a BIC biro fill the holes neatly. Tiny blob of silicone to seal it. Job done

Remember me, (this years Chippy run hotel) I also have Eccles mirrior mounts, as you might remember my 7 is all carbon shiny and black so I did this to replace the standard mirror positions in the doors.

I have loads and they are stainless, blat mail me and I'll sent you a set if you like.

You could try and advertise and reach out to an Academy kit builder.   I am sure they would sell you their new doors, for a small cash incentive and your doors with mirrors fitted.  Assuming your new car is an S3.

I'll have to see how badly the door material is marked, I getting the impression from people's responses that it might not be that bad,

I used some plastic studs but can't remember where I bought them, probably Demon Tweaks or similar

Waking this one up. I'm going to order some Stainless Chicago Screws for exactly this problem. Does anyone know the dimensions of the bolt I'll require? Thanks!

What about these? Cheap, easy & a blob of smoothed off black silicone on the inside if required.
