Wipac reversing light bulb replacement or upgrade

My ‘93/94 car has twin wipac reversing lights on the rear wings. One of the bulbs has gone. Does anyone know the bulb reference for these units? They are double ended bulbs. I have seen some led replacements which may fit, but would they cause a problem with the electrics and are they an improvement? Thanks

You probably won't have any problems with changing to LEDs. 

Anything written on the bulb, and can you add a photo?

There is no CanBus bulb failure sensing device on a 1990s Caterham ... so LEDs will be fine. You need to get the polarity right for it to work, but no harm done if inserted the wrong way round ... just turn it round and try again.

Thanks both. I will try the LEDs then. I’ll post a photo when I’m next with the car but the problem with living in London is the car is garaged elsewhere!
