Steveh7 Posted April 20, 2018 Share Posted April 20, 2018 I'm in the process of switching out the rear mintex pads for standard pads on my 2006 k series academy car (switching to class 1 tyres has meant there is now too much rear bias).The pads are sierra standard pads however when I attempt to fit them although the pad shape is all correct the top springs are so strong they prevent me from physically pushing the caliper pad holder thingy down far enough to get the bolts back in!Anyone else had this, the mintex go straight in, no probs.Steve Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Steveh7 Posted April 20, 2018 Author Share Posted April 20, 2018 No at the top of the pads you have the spring which pushes the pads in place, these are simply to strong to enable you to push down on the caliper body to get the bolts aligned.
