Thornberry
Anybody no of a good product for sticking loose wires away around the dash so they are less noticeable? For sat nav phone chargers and the like. Craig
Member Jonathan Kay Posted April 12, 2018 Member Share Posted April 12, 2018 Do you want something that's easily removable or something that's more permanent?Where's your charger socket?(And I'm still interested in good clamps for 'phones used as satnavs... anyone?)Jonathan
Thornberry
Easily removable ill be using my phone for sat nav but wont need it all the time I had thought of something similar to blu tac (obviously not actual blu tac) that you can easily replace but can choose as much or as little depending on where the wire needs held eg on a corner. Maybe its just a pipe dream lol. Craig
Thornberry
Ive seen walltastic I think thats what its called for not leaving marks on walls when sticking posters up but wouldnt get enough of a mechanical hold on the wires :(

ECR
On my tintop I use velcro patches to trap the wires. It adheres well to my carpet ......
Thornberry
They are to bulky my ocd wont allow them :( similar with the velcro although great on the carpet I might use them their although not on the dash. Progress being made thanks :)

Sean2015
I use the following, both sourced from Amazon (electronics and photo). These allow me to mount the sat nav resting on the tunnel top in front of the gear lever with the screen fairly well shielded from the sun (previous to this I used to mount the sat nav via sucker to the dash - at times the screen was badly affected by glare and the sucker occasionally fell off).I locate the clamp around the key cylinder and then the goose neck allows me to pull the sat nav forward when required or to be pushed further back under the dash. Excess cabling is bundled up behind the sat nav with a cable wrap.H&S Smartphone tripod mount universal clamp holderSmatree flexible clamp mount and gooseneck extension

That's clever. I'd explored the lower tube of the dash but not that. Off for a look.Jonathan
Sean2015
That's them.I've seen others use various clamps on the lower tube but for me using the flexible jaws and gooseneck means that I can position the sat nav where I want while the tunnel takes the main 'weight' to give stability.Sean
