Had a great drive home on Saturday.Im assuming the oil is 5W/50 fully synthetic and not a running in oil? As the 1st oil/filter change is scheduled at 12 months or 6000 miles according to the owners handbook. I would of expected the 1st oil change to be 500 or maybe 1000 miles.Ive read a couple of self build 420R blogs where it's been stated they have a running in oil. Steve_K Posted August 1, 2017 Share Posted August 1, 2017 Its probably not a dedicated 'running in' oil. ISTR my RS175 Duratec was delivered with mineral oil (grade unknown) for running in. CC's instruction was to fill with 5W/50 fully synthetic after running in for between 500 and 1000 miles.
