andy couchman
...1.4 litre Lotus kit £8.34 from ebay and seller is in Kent too.I like the idea of boot mounting so guess what the next project is!Andy
slap_ed
Well, I thought moving the washer bottle into the boot was a good idea. So I've spent most of the day doing so.I have a Duratec with a Plenum chamber with the washer bottle mounted centrally underneath. It was difficult to top-up the washer bottle, not that I've ever done that. It made changing the thermostat difficult, checking the torque settings on the L/H engine mount difficult and just that it was generally cluttered around that area.Well worth the effort.... I think. andy couchman
So much for my £8.34 bargain...The boot on my live axled car is so shallow, the washer bottle was too tall. Doh!Have now bought a bag type and the plan is to mount it around the rear suspension strut.Hmmm...Andy
7 wonders of the world
Best place for the washer bottle is............. ....on the shelf in the garage along with the wipers and full screen......

slap_ed
I would love to go aero but consider it too dangerous. Helmets are OTT for the road and goggles offer minimal protection to the face.
nigelpugh
As Jim mentioned regarding his 620R, they are indeed in the boot space now, my new 620R has it fitted in. The same place too.Its a smaller bottle than the usual, one I think, perhaps to keep it out of the way.On my car it appears to be fitted using one of the existing wheel arch bolts, and another one drilled trough close to the other bolt, again coming from the inside of the rear arch.Heres some pictures of mine in situ. TomB
Just ready to soak the contents of your boot when you inadvertent pull the pipe off when stuffing the boot to bursting for a trip to Le Mans....
