JNC
2Ltr Duratec NKG TR6AP 13 spark plug gap size please !.
Dr Slotter
For a standard(-ish) Duratec those are preset at 1.3mm (hence the -13).
Paul Deslandes
I stand to be corrected but 1.3mm is 51 thou, twice the old fashioned 25 thou gap and I have read that Ford don't recommend going too much above 32 thou (0.8mm) to avoid HT lead breakdown problems. 7 wonders of the world
Most of the later Duratec didn't have leads they were coil on plug.
John Vine
Indeed they didn't, and 1.3mm is correct for the later models.JV
Dr Slotter
If I were to guess, I would say the move to CoP as standard on the 2.0 MZR-L/Duratec 20 was probably just before Caterham started using Duratecs. 2005?
Paul Deslandes
Having Googled, it looks as though that advice related to Focus engines (Zetec?) which had "conventional" coil and leads.Well, I did say I stood to be corrected...................
