smross Posted April 5, 2016 Share Posted April 5, 2016 I'm a new member and the new owner of an '84 Caterham Sprint (it's arriving on Thursday). I'm located in the States so I'm guessing parts procurement may be a but more difficult than it is in the UK.What is the correct oil filter form the 1600 Crossflow engine? I've been able to come up with just about every spec. and part number except for the oil filter number. Frankly, I thought the filter would be a more popular number in the States than it is, given that the Kent engine was in early '80's Fiestas, etc. I work for an auto parts company called NAPA which is the largest parts chain in the US and our stores don't carry the equivalent to the C103 Champion or the Fram PH2964. I'll have to contact the Wix filter company directly. Those filters must be made for cars not imported into the US. NAPA stocks the equivalent of the Fram PH2874 which is a Wix 1340, a filter that is readily available here.
