Ok being serious now

Noise ? Only reason I entered was they never seem to have 105 days and I want to tick off the circuit

bloody long way to go to fail a noise test

thought it was less of an issue on sprint days and the limit was 108

For a Caterham the problem with noise at Goodwood is not he static noise test, I cruise through the 105 limit at 96/97 - however I frequently break the 101 drive by, especially on the Lavant straight. It is all to do with the atmospheric pressure and knowing where the meters are - some days readings are a lot higher than others. The important thing is not to get issued a warning during practice.

Leg ,

Had similar advice from a GRDC regular

If I recall the noised meter is on the induction side of the Dura nail

But I have decided to run an extra muffler on my zorst to minimise risk .

After all I know I will not be   running competitive times this year so a loss of power is not really an issue

I echo Lyns observation about not getting a warning during practice, as then you can be given a red card if you trip them again during your first timed run and you won't get a time...

Strangely last year was the first time I had problems and I was always tripping the one in between madgewick and fordwater, and not lavant or the one after the chicane...  If i remember correctly the first 2 are on the outside of the circuit, but the one after the chicane is on the inside.

I usually also struggle with the static at goodwood with the busa, even with airbox but usually scrape by, my new even bigger silencer may help but I will be taking the practice runs carefully  where I know the sound meters are...

88.66s for both of us on the 3rd time run. Rob went first as we were trying to go fastest first so he got the win. He would also have got it on 2nd fastest time as he'd gone quicker than me in a previous run.

So slicks vs power = dead heat *smile*

I'll get the video up later - there was water on the chicane from a car hitting the barriers which led to a slighlty "lively" finish to my run *eek*
