jimmct
Time to replace the original spax and springs on my live axle Xflow ('97 ex academy) running 185/70/13 for a set of height adjustable ones primarily for fast road use. Old springs have been measured at 245 front, 95 rear....budget £600.The more I research the more confused I get. Options so far...Spax height adjustable with 260lb front, 104lb rear (like the idea of keeping the car's originality).Protech 400 1.9" with bonded bushes with 275lb front, 150lb rear.(2.25" look like the springs will foul the side skin and I don't fancy opening up the hole). As above with rose joints on bottom of rear (but Protech recommended bonded bushes being better for public roads due to potholes etc.)Avo's with 225 fronts and 130 rears....also recommended with 250 fronts and 150 rears. Then there has been the mention of progressive springs on the rear which sound like a good option.Any help would be greatly appreciated.ThanksJames

7 wonders of the world
Whatever you choose you need the rear coilovers to have rose joints for a live axle due to the original design (lower mount the wrong way) putting a bending load on the rear units - to rose joint isolates the units from this. Philip L Anderson
Another vote for Simon. He did a fantastic suspension setup on my 97 live axle.
